MABFanForLife
Now that Matt Hughes, along with Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Randy Couture, Mark Coleman, Royce Gracie, and Chuck Liddell are HoF, I'm wondering who the next one will be? He'll have had to be in the Octagon for a long time, which for me, means it can't be Silva or GSP. Obviously, must have a great legacy of fights, win or lose. Perhaps even be a fan favorite. With these qualifications, the only two I can really think of is either BJ Penn or Rich Franklin. Both men have been around a while, Penn longer than Franklin. Both men have been champions. Both men are always engaged in action packed fights, regardless of whether they put on the beatdown or are receiving it. I honestly believe the next one will be either of these men. There are some fighters I believe should be in the HoF but can understand why some will say they shouldn't. But I don't think there can be much of an argument for why Franklin or Penn shouldn't be in the HoF. So who do you guys think the next one will be? SuiSki
IMO, The fact that Silva has accomplished what he has in a relatively short time makes him a real candidate. He's been here long enough, shattered records and doesn't seem to be slowing down. At retirement he would have defended his belt at least ten times, consecutively. Who can come close? ShadowOverYou
BJ at any time really. Many of the MMA world consider him the best 155 pound fighter to every grace the planet. On A Good day, he is considered to be a Top 5 P4P Fighter in the world, some even put him Top 3 ( myself included ). Typical bruce buffer : One of only 2 men to hold a belt in 2 different weight classes. Guys fought the Who Who in WW and in LW aswell.

xxbgjhn159xx
I'm sure Franklin and Ortiz would get in before the newer great fighters like Silva, Penn, and GSP etc etc. Hell Rogan, Goldberg, and Buffer might even get in eventually.

Harris170
Theres no doubt in my mind that rich franklin and bj penn will be inducted in the HOF. But honestly i would like to go with someone who no longer with the UFC also its someone that no one else said. I think it should be Evan Tanner.. Not only was he a Former Champion but also that he loved the sport so much he started from watchin training dvd's. Then moving onto buying an RV and traveling the country from school to school learning all he could. Also Evan had a never say die attitude if you came into a fight with him you knew you had to put him away or he'd be there the whole way. I really think thats what makes a fighter special possessing something that can't be taught in any gym but bein born with it. Nuff Said INDUCT EVAN TANNER!!!! Martino231
Tito Ortiz Like him or hate him, the guy defended the LHW more times than anyone else in UFC history and helped to promote the sport hugely. Could you argue that he was never really a great fighter? Sure. But I'd have ranked Tito at his best higher than Coleman or Severn.
Hypnotik2717
Tito and Rich should be in very soon. Guys like GSP and BJ will be in eventually, but not until the back-end of their careers.

Milleboss
Of The former champions of the UFC who are no longer active i can definately see Frank Shamrock, Pat Miletich or even Carlos Newton, but I would much rather see Even Tanner be inducted before Carlos Newton... Of the people still active, Tito and Ace are a shoe in and eventually i could even see Wanderlei be inducted even though he has never held a UFC title, thanks to his accomplishments inside the world of MMA
