this is extremely tough choice

but something about being attacked by ancient killer that comes out of nowhere, unseen, with surprise, where you can be drown all in the same as your thrashed around, twisted, ripped limb from limb by something you won't really get a good look at...

Ala Crocodile

and also a Great White Shark

I mean humans are HELPLESS in water vs. Anything.. far less of a chance then compared to on solid ground.

i think i'd Least like to fight a large crocodile or shark for the reason above..

but really there is no right answer for this question :P

1) polar bear would smash your skull with one swipe.

done, dead, gone.

QUICK.

2) a lion would ravage you a bit, but as quick as they could, one of the hunting members of the pride would clamp onto your neck with its massive jaws and crush your windpipe or break your neck.

done, dead, gone.

LESS QUICK!

3) crocodiles will often pull their prey to the bottom of a pool and half burry it under debris and logs in order to kill the prey by drowning.

crocodiles will do the death roll and rip easily manageable pieces off of the victim.

done (sortof) dead(eventually),gone.

SLOW DEATH BY DISMEMBERMENT AND DROWNING.

this is the order inwhich I would pick these fights based on how painfull the death would be.

however, if the croc was less than 8ft long and the swamp was knee deep I might fight the croc because I might be able to win.

if it looks like I will die, I would NOT want to fight the croc.

if I have a chance of winning, I would LOVE to fight the croc.

IF I am allowed to have a knife (or any weapon for that matter), I would rather fight the croc.

if a polar bear or a lion is pissed off then you have no chance of living through it.

if a croc is pissed off but living in a swamp (thus being a smallish croc) AND the swamp isnt too deep then I think I could survive a croc attack. (also if I am within a stones throw from land)

i know exactly what you mean, for intensive purposes of my response, i assumed all 3 were fully grown adult male apex predators of those species

& in my mind, i imagined a dark water shallow to deep swamp for clarification

That's some pretty good analysis

In this scenario that I presented there are no weapons

here is a nice little video of how to survive a bear attack.

my favorite line: "we dont do it like this anymore because the only thing protecting your face is your elbow and after the first swipe that is gone, then there is nothing protecting your face"

(I paraphrase)

Lion would be the most atheletic.

Croc - i could weave trees at my blazing fast speed and buy myself a little more time

Bear - nothing you can do except back a way slowly.

I'd lease like to fight the lion.

Me too, me too. I just read an article that said, if they bite your skull death is immediate but sometimes they grab you by the shoulder and drag you for a while and bite at your thighs and back, death may not occur for 15 minutes.

A crocidile in a swamp' date=' because when it does the death roll all you have to do is wrap your body around it so you roll with it.[/quote']

Ummm what ????

The question is which you would least like to fight and if it has your leg how are you supposed to roll with it ???

do you want to know which animal i would rather not fight over All 3?

the answer might surprise some, but after reading the discription, probably Not:

The Adult Male Chimpanzee.

it would beat you down with strikes, eat off each one of your fingers individually, it would bite off your nose & lips, it would bite off your ears & try to go for your eyes, they also have a very HIGH tendancy to go directly for the genitals (in both humans & other chimpanzees), which they would chew off.

but hey, atleast you could survive this encounter right? as opposed to one with a bear/lion/crocodile.... but in reality if all of the above was done to you... what man is going to want to live?

The Croc. They are cold blooded killers.

Thing with a Polar Bear or Lion or really any mammal type predator is you do have a chance to scare them off with noise.. They are afraid of man to a certain extent.

Crocs, well you are just food to them period. I remember reading an article somewhere that Salt Water and Nile Crocs are one of the few animals that see humans as an on going and natural food source.

ok and now the correct answer

Lion

Lions are faster and more agile than a polar bear, no way you could get away from an attacking lion. and if you run they get more aggressive

a Polar bear you could possibly outmaneuver

a Crocodile is like MAtt Serra, it has a punchers chance, if it misses you , you can run to land and be safe

a lion you are screwed, no possibly way to get away '

even worse would be a chimp, or in open water a shark

Did you hear about that chick that literally had her entire face eaten by a chimp, those things are nuts, you can find the article on google

Of the three I choose a Lion, but if a shark was coming around in open water I would just drown myself
