I think its time for him to hang it up.

Shogun has the worst knees in the sport. Always suffering from injured knees. One day his knee's are going to give out completely and i like him to retire before that happens. Shogun is a good fighter not a reliable fighter though and thats what you need to be in the UFC. I dont think his knee's can take any more punishment, having it kicked, stress on it,jerking it, running, pressure, His knee;s are like Chucks chin. Shogun accomplished alot in his past and present and now is the UFC LHW champ. I think he has a couple more fights that his knee's can take and that will be it. I just dont want him to pull a Chuck and have his wins overlooked on his lose's. So my outlook on this is for him to defend his title as long as he can,When he loses i would like to see him retired and inducted into the UFC.

You all agree?

Not completely back. Sitting in the hospital bed and at home for that long his Cardio is gone and so on. He will have to train his **** of and idk if his knee's are going to be ables to take all that.

He is in no hospital bed. He is up and doing upper body workouts and knee rehab just to let you know.

hangitup did you see ufcgod's thread saying that the judo throw that hurt shoguns knee would have blown anyones knee out

lmao that was the most ignorant thing ive heard in a while

How is that ignorant? I've done the same thing. Blown my knee attempting a hip toss and before you say my knees are prone to injury i should let you know i do them all the time now. By the way Machida's feet wern't completly off the ground his back one was put his front foot was placed and when Shogun jerked forward Machida jerked back. That exact same situation would've blown many peoples knees if all that force went onto one knee.

why was EVERYONE all chearing for shogun and calling him the one true LHW champ after the first machida fight and now they are saying hes all washed up guess it never end

He fights good,But now that he got surgery i realized how bad it is. Knee's dont heal up all that well since its a joint that holds all your weight. When ur knees become shot there is no correcting it to where its back to normal youll have good days and bad days and that will become a big deal when training

Shogun should take the 5-6 months he has really diet hard and tighten and tone his upper body and face AS at MW for the belt Then he can be the first man with 2 belts in 2 divisions currently and retire happily....lol a guy can dream cant he

1. you mean he would be the first man with belts in two divisions, because 2 belts in 2 divisions means he would have 4 belts.

2. if you think he would be the first man with belts is 2 divisions, please see Henderson, Dan. he was the first guy to hold titles in 2 divisions at the same time.

if "shogun is back"' date=' then why do we have to "wait" on his recovery from knee surgery?

Shogun's a fighter, hes gonna have many problems with his physical condition. A lot of fighter's do. Hes jsut gonna keep fighting and struggling with his body until his body just can't take it any more. I think he's gonna be fine with his knees until something very serious just happens to him. He's just gonna keep improving
