I really bellieve that UFC is the top organanization of all time right now in mma(and it is),with the most comperative divisions, with the best fighters than Dana could get, with the famous 8ctagon which is much preffered than a ring and with fans who makes the atmosphaire a lot more explocive than pride's quiet Japanise did..(im from Greece,so i don't want u to think that i support one nation than the other).

But there is one think that im missing very badly..headkicks,knees to the head and stomps(when the fighter is down of course).Whats ur opinion about that?

Agree 100%!

A cage is for sure much better than a ring but I miss when Wanderlei would hold people's head on the ground and kick them senseless.

Headstomps will definatley put the sport back. They want this sport legalized all over the world and make it into an actual sport not a spectacle like that of gladiators. + Headstomps are just too brutal and very disadvantaged for people on the ground (while opponent is standing up)

No stomps, no knees to the head or head kicks to downed opponents.

why

A) Makes the sport more marketable to new venues

B) Safer for fighters to have longer, more successful careers

C) Zuffa and Dana are in it for the money, and utter carnage makes profits go down in the long run. Pride after all, failed.

D) Really unfair. A BJJ guy WANTS to be on the ground, or go to the ground, and even a wrestler is going to shoot for takedowns, or hope to be on the ground. Not allowing head kicks, knees to the head, or head stomps to anyone with at least 3-points touching the ground, or lying on their back allows the fighters to to have a fair test of skills. Also, See point B. We want these guys to fight for years. Less overall damage to their bodies, the better they can fight for us.

North-South knees to the top of the head would cause some nasty damage.

I don't think the stomps would be as bad because the mat is flexable and fighters are bare foot.

Neither is going to happen and it wouldn't surprise me if they try to outlaw elbows in the near future.

I do miss the early UFC's when headbutting etc was ok.

Does anyone remember the name of the asian fighter in the UFC that won be constantly punching his opponent in the balls??
