ForrestGriffinFan101
He would take Silva to the ground and demolish him with elbows. No kidding He's not as good of a wrestler as Hendor or Sonnen. He relies a lot on Greco-Roman and his double legs wouldn't be good enough to get Silva down. He's also an inexperienced grappler. He would get submitted easy IMO. His stand-up is average. Horrible boxing but he makes up for it with good kicks and flashy moves.

claudiorebelo
But if this fight ever happens it should be sooner rather than latter. Silva is not getting any younger. I don?t want a 28Y old Jones fighting a 40Y old Silva
Tweak
If Jones fought Anderson right now he would not make it past round one. Anderson would KO him standing or submit him off his back. Anderson is very effective off his back (discounting the Sonnen fight). Jon Vs Anderson is just a really bad match up for Jon, 9 out of 10 times Anderson wins (that one time he looses is because he fights like he did Vs Sonnen, and that probably won't happen again). I don't want to see that in 3 years. Same thing if Silva ever challenges for the 205 title. If this stuff is going to happen...it needs to happen sooner rather than later. button_man
definitely will beat him.jones is a young talented fighter and imo he needs to do this 1 step at a time.probably a fight with forrest or franklin will sharpen his skills and experience will play a big part if he fights silva. bonesbonesbones
Hes 23, not that that makes a difference. In 5 years Silva will be 40 and old, Bones will be 28 and in his prime. I see Bones winning then if it happens. As of right now... he cant do worse against Silva than Forrest.

Dick_Fitzswell
in all honesty, i dont really like either fighter, i think jones would smash silva. i dont think there is a single person that isnt a HW that could beat Jones right now. This dude manhandles people...within 30 seconds of you being ont he ground your unconcious with broken skeletal system....Jones would stay at distance , wait for a mistake and clinch take down and pound his **** out quick. Same way he handles his business with everyone.

Dick_Fitzswell
Sorry but Im gonna go ahead and say it, AS is a *****. So tired of hearing about this guy....when you can tell me 1 other person than Chael he has fought that really had any relevance AT THE TIME they fought Anderson please let me know. i've been wondering this for a long time, and I just really cant figure it out. leben at the time had a chin and heart..thats it... forrest lol ... come on guy was never that great...admit it or not, he actually lost that TUF finale...rewatch the fight, he DEFINTELY lost...so he shouldnt even had been there in the first place. haha irvin lol cote chin and a nice punch...oh yea and a bum knee leites lol..come on really? maia once again...really? rich franklin come on...this guy dominated a weak **** MW division for too long... rich franklin x2 got smashed the first time and exposed for what he was...then got smashed again lutter extremely out of shape...probably could have won had he more energry Sonnen- strong, decent age, tough chin, good boxing, amazing wrestling, great cardio, but his JJ both ways leaves a lot to be desired. If he trained JJ and defense he would quite frankly be on another level than most guys...which he is already, but just that much more...

James_Moss
Anderson would pick Jones apart' date=' no way Jones would last against him.[/quote'] All I keep seeing from Jones is quick and easy knockouts. He fights the best fighters and make them look like beginners. Silva is good, but I think people underestimate Jones. Jones has the quickness and skills to put those sharp elbows in Anderson's face and make Silva go nighty night and a hospital visit.

No kidding ^this, silva often tries to hold his opponent in guard on the ground and wait for a standup, jones' size would allow him to strike pretty effectively while in guard. not to mention no1's lasted more than a couple minutes w/ jones' GnP
Rumble170cHAMP
what makes you think Bones would lose to anyone? The guy is BETTER than Anderson Silva. Best P4P in the World . Give him the shot he will destroy Shogun, Silva, Rampage, Rashad. any of these guys. no one can counter the reach or the takedowns. He took a world class wrestler and made him his biotch. lol His height, size, speed, power, takedowns exceed anyones elses period. Submission d is the only thing we havent een and the way he fights he wont hafta ever worry about that lol. If age is the only reason Bones doesnt get a title shot then your only kidding yourseleves, he might as well have the belt around his waist already
CarlLane
Anderson would kill the kid no question lots of questions, how many times has silva fought somebody with longer reach? more dynamic clinch then his own? better elbows then his? answer=NONE
