I hope by that time they will have all weight classes from Flyweight (125) to Heavyweight (265). Good possibilities. MMA/UFC needs to have a Cruiserweight div wherein the weights is around 206-235. Guys like Arlovski, Cro Cop, Cain Velasquez, Fedor, Mir, Vera, Couture would very much fit in this division. Let's admit it the HW div weight range is too large, it's unfair sometimes for those small HW to fight aginst those HW who's cutting to make the 265 limit. So the HW div would be around 236-265, So what's left in there would be guys like Gabe, JDS, Herring, Overeem, Nelson, Rothwell, Brock, Carwin Kongo

team_spahr
no mma in olympics UFC becomes a NA representative in MMA talent 3 other leagues pop up in Europe, Asia and South/Central America. those 4 leagues do a draft of talent in the A(amature)MMA which is funded by all 3 to allow a safe and learned mma experience to kids 15-19. when fighters become 19 they become elligable for the draft. UFC the biggest organization gets the top rights, followed by Asia, Europe and S/CA. Fights take place every friday on live TV, but usually with a mix of teir 4-2 fighters. title fights are PPV events that run similar to the (old) way ufc did it back in 2010. with 5 events along with 5-7 undercard fights. Trades are allowed between leagues, and players can become free agents and leave their organization to come to another one. So fighters are based of long term salary contracts ranging something like 3 years 17 million dollar deals. and every year, its more about the big tournament at the end of the year. top 4 fighters in each weight class represent their league, and are placed into a 16 man tournament, it takes 6 months, with each fight(round) taking place every 2 months. until the final round on DEC 31st, all weight class finals are fought on 1 mega grand PPV event. each winner getting 25 million dollars. bright508620
in 10 years, MMA will be a little more popular than it is right now. People think it will be better than NFL. NO WAY. It will be bigger, but will never achieve the NFL, NBA, or MLB range. Events will now be televised on ESPN on saturday nights all over the world. Ariewai hawanai (whatever you spell his name like) will be a backstage announcer that gives inside looks before the fights happening with interviews with different fighters. Dana will hire him for that. A naked guy will run into the middle of the cage (from the crowd) while the fighters are fighting in the main event and ruin the entire night. The fight classes (155lb-265lb) will be much stronger. Competition will be very very hard. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. Lesnar, Carwin, will get caught with roids and will never come back to the UFC. A huge death will happen within the UFC (i wont say..bad luck) _ STUPID ONES: JUST ONES WHICH WOULD BE DUMB TO HAPPEN.......... They will add 1-2 ounzes to the gloves after someone dies from getting KO'ed. They will say elbows are illegal. They will add knees on the ground (wrestling would popularize) The refs will get too strict and have horrible stoppages. Im not completely sure how these would play out, but these are what i think would happen and the stupid ones that would happen. IMO. No haters. MMAPhoenix
In 10 years, I forsee this. Nationwide sanctioning of MMA. UFC Worldwide with Offices in China, Middle East, Japan, Russia, and Brazil. MMA as an official Olympic sport. GSP and Anderson inducted into the HoF, alongside of Brock Lesnar (if he wins his next 2 fights). Strikeforce will have been absorbed by the UFC because it is unable to maintain it's divisions, OR it will be considered the official minor leagues and continue to produce it's Challengers cards. The UFC will be, without a doubt, the premier organization for MMA in the world. M-1 Global will be defunct. and much much more

darkthrone99
I doubt MMA will really get all that much popular. Especially not as much as some people are predicting. Not everyone enjoys men rolling around on the floor together trying to win a decision. Ultimately, guys like fitch are going to inspire other averagely talented guys to take up the sport and just try and get by on wrestling tactics. I actually think boxing will get more popular and remain a bigger sport than mma around the world. I also don't think the USA will have any champions in any division as other nationalities start taking over. Though big fat american wrestlers will always be around in the HW division. I think a lot more boxers will start to get into it as the money increases and we will finally see some world class striking in the UFC, rather than the sloppy bar brawl crap we see from most mma fighters at the mo. Take it from me, grinding fighters like couture are gonna get shown up by real strikers. That old bum is gonna get nailed by that old bum Toney. ZenWarrior1406052210
Couture is still fighting and is still consired to be top 10 LHW...... That's just plain unrealistic, you can't stretch out or maintain top level physical abilities when you are in your late 60's. Couture will be Retired and do some commentary now and then if anything. JDS will have reigned for close to 10 years in MMA and will renowned the world over, so he won't be HW champ in 2020, but still be widely talked about and revered. There will be other martial arts used more in hybrid mma styles, which will be the evolution of MMA. Brock will have been long forgotten after JDS KTFO of him. There will be new MW champs, WW champs, LHW champs, and HW champs. Crocop will be credited as Pat Barry had already credited him, as being the pioneer in making kickboxing adapted to MMA with the outstanding sprawl and brawl techniques that Crocop so awesomely developed and adapted to the sport of MMA.
