This whole MMA vs. Boxing thing...

Is it really that big?

I mean, James Toney is a tough dude, and so is Couture, and no disrespect intended but, if Couture loses, that doesn't really matter...

Sure Couture is this 5-time world champion in the cage and all this other snuff, but what has he really done lately?

Got smashed by Lesnar,

Got smashed by Big Nog

Got beat in my opinion against Vera

and beat Mark Coleman, which is like swatting a fly with no wings.

My point is, if Toney beats Couture, MMA won't be "dead" for all of those who say it'll "die", because there are a lot of fighters that are better then Captain America, and who could beat Toney with their eyes closed.

Take Cheick Kongo for example...

I don't see this as MMA vs Boxing. I see it as UFC 1993 vs UFC 2010

The problem would be Boxing fans that dont know who Couture is thinking MMA is the inferior sport. Just like WWE fans when Brock Lesnar kicked the HW divisions ****:((so far)

Yeah this is very true. But, I'm pretty sure Boxing fans will be biting their thumbs when it dies off.

No more Floyd's, or Manny's, and Boxing will be consumed by MMA.

And for WWE fans, they can piss off. With Lashley down and defeated, its like a foreshadowing of what is to become of Lesnar.

there is a big differance between Lashley and Lesnar and thats for sure, and why do you have to even bring the WWE into this are you stupid there are some really good wrestlers and athletes that get offerd MILLIONS of dollars to perform for the WWE iam sure more people would go straight into MMA if the money was as good

I just don't like the idea of a 47 year old fighting.I would of rather a little younger guy.Or anyone else for that matter fighting James Toney. Then if Tony knocks out Randy. He's going to talk a lot of smack at the end of the fight. So if Couture gets knocked out.I hope the next guy beats him,and it'll happen. It's like they want to see Randys done, and skyrocket James Toney if he beats him.Just how Brock got in and got his title so quickly.Maybe that'll happen with James Toney. If he knocks out Randy. That'll buy him some time to work on lots of things.Maybe that's Danas intentions.I sure hope not though.

First, I didn't bring WWE into this.

And second, please return to the WWE forums.
