I was thinking about the quality of MMA within britain and im happy its improving, and we're not represented primarily by Bisping. Hardy and Etim are the new standards, although both fighters coming off losses which were to amazing competition.

Hardy possibly top 5, with a developing game i think he's at 10th planet JJ, although Etims nowhere near top competition hes a good fighter.

What do you think of the current state in the ufc for us Brits? good? bad? ok? awful?

and how long till we have some stars considered top competition?

We have some good mid tier fighters at the mo, which is a vast improvement on 2 - 3 years ago. I personally think Hathaway & Etim have the potential to be title contenders somewhere down the road (out of the current crop of UK UFC fighters). I think with the exposure MMA is now getting here the future can only be brighter still.

the Brits are getting there' date=' UFC is doing a good job of promoting there fighters and bringing more events to the UK

Ross Pearson has alot of potential, i think he will be the LW champ in a couple years[/quote']

I'm a brit but I gotta say that no uk fighter will become a ufc champion, purely because they will continue to lose to american wrestling grinders time after time. I'm tired of hearing how they're ko this, that and the other and then get grappled to a decision. It's so obvious it's gonna happen it's just plain sad. Whether they spend 6 months training nothing but wrestling or not that means the average american ufc fighter is still going to 10 years ahead in terms of grappling. So come on guys, let's be realistic. The UK has a decent bunch of mid tier fighters but nothing more and I can't see that changing.

John Hathaway is the one I'm watching out for at the moment.

Mark Weir looked so promising in his UFC debut, and still owns rights to one of the craziest fights in UFC history, but sadly, it was a one off, lol.

But Michael Bisping is the best wrestler in the Middle Weight Division.........
