Hey, don't be dissing Magic:The Gathering dude. Anyway, on topic, I once trained at a young age. Starting at around age 8 in Chinese Kenpo Karate under my father, Chuck Sullivan, and Vic Louvox. (never could spell Vic's last name) I trained pretty seriously until I was about 13 or 14 before leaving to live with my mother. I've had very little training since then other then street fights and random scuffles with idiots and friends.

Seriously though dude if you're only 17 wait until you're 18 and get as much training in as you can before you start to actually compete.

That's pretty cool. How many losses you got though. If none that is sick.

Sweet. You have plans to try to get into the WEC or anything.

well i would absolutely LOVE TO!!! but i know realisticly my odds are fairly slim to in the negatives of likelihood. I recently got a personal trainer and i plan at staying around 145lbs for the rest of my life. I train quite frequently so i guess anything is possible but i have no illusions of grandeur.

Eh probably some but it's fairly easy to spot some of the liars. Ex saying you're 30-0 in the amatuer ring and not being able to name a place you've trained or any of the guys you've beat.

haha the second i heard someone say theyr 30-0 in anything i usually call BS unless they can immediately back it up.

Send videos in dude. I say WEC because you seem better at lighter weights I think 135 or something would be great for you.

lol yeah I know. One time I was reading an article about this amatuer boxing champ and a guy commented below and said he had an amatuer boxing record of like 50-0 so I immediately called him out on it. Of course he refused to give his name, gym, or any details.

Yeah 7-0 isn't far out for an amateur boxing record especially if its in a small town.

i wont lie i dont know much about am. Boxing

To be honest amateur boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, etc is easier when you're smaller. Especially in boxing if you can get your rythem going or work out a good strategy you can put out a good win streak fairly easily. Then take into account that a lot of small guys have to fight the same guys multiple times and it can get easier or harder. The down side is a lot of times you have to fight at different weight classes if you can't find a guy your size.

Nice are you still boxing?

i assume this is directed at me? but ya i still box. i dnt have anymore amateur matches planned and in fact im not gonna fight again until im 18. taking time off to do nothing but train cuz once i hit 18 i got seriously harder competition ahead of me.. here in GP like every guy is on roids, growth hormones, and ****. like excessively and they use banned laxitives n the like to make weight so once im 18 il b fightin cheatin dbags who will probably break my face... they dnt test for substances here unless its an official provincial league match or local championship. which is total bull **** if you ask me.

My gym has a guy that teaches BJJ (its ******** he has a brown belt from a mcdojo and a couple of Gracie seminars) and I tried it for about a week or so but really I just don't have the patience for grappling. I always have to be moving or making progress or I get bored. I'm sticking with Muay Thai.

Yeah i plan on training for a good solid 6 months before i take my 1st amature MMA fight. I know that after 6 months i will by no means be a world class fighter, but i feel confident enough in my athletic ability and i seem to be picking it up pretty quicky as well. Also, it doesnt help that im 5'4 130lbs with a similair build to Sean Sherk, so it might be hard for me to get a fight with a guy my size

teehee im one of those small weight guys to which u refer. and yes this quite true. in fact the reason i went from 125 to 145 is because i would have had to start fighting ppl i already fought and i only had 3 fights!!! serious lack of variety the smaller u get.
