How on earth is Toney going to win a round without knocking Couture out. Add to the fact that he is FAT and looks like he will have major cardio issues, he will have his shoulders tired out by the end of round 1.

?(Toney?s) inside fighting capabilities could serve him well given Randy Couture?s clinch game. Look at the Frank Mir and Shane Carwin fight ? most of the damage was done to Frank Mir against the cage. But if you get a guy like James Toney who knows how to strike off the cage, and who makes a living with inside fighting ? I think that could lend some promise to James Toney. It could be a short night if a guy like James Toney lands one of those shots on the inside. He?s definitely the best true boxer out there in the UFC.?

 

Is Rashad scared to pick sides?

But it might have to do with him being an analyist for mma live and they would perfer that he kept his predictions for the end of the show.

 

i was thinking he was scared of a beat down haha

This guy knows what he's talking about. Toney will have a hard time throwing his inside punches with his legs in the air and his head plummeting towards the canvas.

I'm pretty sure you are the only guy in the world who thinks Randy will KO Toney with a head kick.

 

Some sensible points there from a lot of guys. The general theme of the talk seems to be can Toney KO Randy before he gets taken down. That is the question.

Of course he isn't. The most I see him attempting is a few jabs and some hard leg kicks depending on which stance Toney is going to take for an MMA fight. If he's in the boxing stance he'll be walking with crutches for a few weeks. All i'm saying is that he can be knocked out. He keeps saying that he's going to kill people with those 4ounce gloves.

 

Well Toney is already punch-drunk to the point where he can't compose a coherent sentence and the words he does seem to string together are inaudible. I don't think he can take a good punch with MMA gloves. If he continues in MMA and they give him a good MMA striker like Rua, Barry, Cro Cop etc. Someone with vicious kicks he's done. I want to watch that pudgy half-wit try to check some kicks and see his eyes light up like "wtf was I thinking".

I find it highly amusing that many of the boxers on that list think Randy will win.

 

i do as well, i have been hearing a lot of "boxers all think MMA is a joke" coming from a lot of MMA fighters and promoters and all that type of stuff but it sounds like most the boxers all have a respect for the sport and enjoy watching it....

 

i personally think Couture is going to stand with him for a bit to surprise him(kind of like when he rocked Sylvia in the beginning of their fight)....mostly leg kicks to break his will/confidence and weaken him for an easy takedown later in the first round
