But saying he let Chael land all those punches on him on purpose is just stupid. The whole "he knew Chael's punches couldn't hurt him" thing is a joke, he went stumbling round the ring like a hobo when he got clipped. I might as well say "Chael let Silva submit him, cause he knew he'd get a rematch and get another chance to pound on him". Also there isn't much point praising his TD, as he tried to lay n pray for a bit but still got swept within about 5 seconds anyway. After the TD silva got swept and ended up on the bottom anyways. After the punch on the feet, Silva got taken down n pounded for a 10-8 round. I just don't see why Silva fans have to try make themselves feel better by claiming that the fight was anything other than him getting beat on for 23 minutes then getting a submission. I also think Silva will likely dominate the second fight with Sonnen AND Silva is my favorite fighter etc. But really...in MMA...anything is possible. Silva COULD lose..and if he continues to fight for another couple years...he probably WILL lose at some point. And even if you don't agree with that....don't jinx the man. *chuckle* If we keep believing that Silva can lose....maybe he'll defy the odds. I was at 117 & Very close to the Cage. Anderson is an intelligent man. He knew what he had to do to win fans back. He had to have a come back Victory & he also had to put the rounds in. He did both. You show me 1 other man that gets "seemingly" Dominated for almost 5 Rounds & then "magically" in the same position he was in the Entire fight..Never trying a Sub until he pulls out the Triangle..with 2 mins to spare. Anderson executed a Brilliant & Career rejuvenating Game plan..flawlessly. The rematch won't be anything like it. Look at andersons face after the fight. Look at chael's. Listen to chael's interviews..post fight. I do give credit to chael for showing class in defeat & going out & giving ALL he had. You have to Respect that & that is saying a lot as I think he's a wookie. Rematch will have anderson knocking chael out inside of Round 2. A Great (Swear word) fight & entire Card though. Chael is more honest than even his fans are able to be. He's "always" come in 2nd place & sees a sports psychologist for it & for some time now. That is how bad it is. That fight showed one thing that only Martial Artists can truly see. The difference between. Spirituality..Anderson & Thought..Chael. Outcome.. inevidable. I don't know what your talking about saying that this fight brought Andersons fans back, after the fight he was getting pretty heavily booed. Chael gained more fans in this fight than Anderson regained. I'll quite definitely enjoy the day I see Anderson laid out on the octagon floor, toes curled, eyes and mouth open, surrounded by medical staff as Vitor leaves with his belt. Bam! Even after that flash knockdown in round 1, Anderson dropped his hands and let punch after punch land on his chin. I'm not saying that Anderson was by any means dogging it, but you can't argue that at least half of the punches Chael landed standing were landed because Silva had his hands at his waste, barely using any sort of head movement. You couldn't be less informed. Were you AT the fight? No..you were not. I was. No One was booing anderson after the fight. Everyone was losing their minds the fight was so Intense. Far more in person than on Tv. Also..I never said anything to the point of chael losing or not getting fans from his gutsy performance..quite the contrary. Also..when a Man is knocked out..his toes & body stiffens & mouth closes shut. What you described sounds more like anderson at home eating popcorn watching his Submission Victory over Vitor.
