Real criteria by which an MMA fight should be judged.

Right here.....

1.the effort made to finish the fight via KO or submission,

2.damage given to the opponent,

3.standing combinations and ground control,

4.takedowns and takedown defense,

5.aggressiveness, and

6.weight (in the case that the weight difference is 10 kg/22 lb or more).

It's not even a discussion. The UFC's 10-point system and ambiguous criteria is an open sore on the sport.

Wake up, and get the proper criteria in place.

ya i would have to agree thats the only thing that is kinda of ruining the sport is the judgin get takedowns shouldnt count so much unless they do damage on the ground, people just get a takedown to win the round. a takedown should count as much as a leg kick or something like that if they cant keep them down or do damage

i saw it in the Jacare vs, Kennedy fight at SF Houston, Kennedy scored a couple takedowns in the very last 10 seconds of the rounds...now how much should that be worth imo just tack it on to aggression or cage control there is really no need for an entirely separate category for takedowns especially when you got so many fighters who take guys down because they can granted, then do absolutely lil to no damage after...

ya i agree this would definitely help especially since like the example you named like what kind of damage can you do in the last 10 seconds of a takedown not much, it doesnt make sense why they make it worth so much
