Dicker410
As Rashad waits his for shot to return to glory I as a fan wonder why! Its absurd that someone sits that long knowingly he has over a year to wait for a fight. I did like Rashad but this is ridiculus. He must be afraid of losing his shot at Rua IMO

He has some cash in his pockets, time to work in gym and when the fight comes around, he gets a shot at the gold. Its not his fault there's no interim. Dana's decision. Googlebright
There's no need for an interim belt, we know when Shogun will be back. But I agree that its ridiculous that Rashad gets another title shot after two lack-lustre decision wins, both of which he was almost KOed in and had to hang on for the win. Have him fight the Lil Nog/Bader winner first.

seXXXpac
Rashad is doing the right thing. He doesn't need the money, and he's better served by putting the time in the gym training for Shogun. Rashad isn't an idiot. While he may not be afraid to lose, he knows that anything can happen in the sport. Why would he risk his title shot and gain nothing in return? People need to stop hating. Chuck42
Bottom line is if you are given a shot to fight for the belt you take it and wait for the fight to take place. why risk getting hurt or potentially losing and losing you chance to eb what all fighters want to be "Champion". Sonnen is waiting as well, he could fight in the winter if he wanted. and Interim champions are just ridiculous
Slam_Man
I have to say, if i had the choice of waiting to fight for the belt, or take a different fight and risk never fighting for the belt..... well you know I'm waitin'.

I don't know what the UFC see in him. He's not a fan favorite. He's not exciting. His career is full of lackluster performances . Even in a win Rashad still manages to look like S**T! It really sucks that there's much more deserving talented fighters(Shogun Machida) that don't even get a quarter of the special treament that Rashad gets from Dana/UFC

There should be an interim belt. Rashad should be fighting someone for it. I am a huge Evans fan and even i say it is ridiculous that he is just waiting. atdray
He may have said no, but so ****ing what?! Fool's earned a title shot, and he wants it. He's gonna take it. He wants to fight Shogun. Machida's camp brought up the whole interim title idea after he had just got KNOCKED out by Shogun. When asked about an interim title for the LHW, Dana said no. WTF for? Interim was there for the HW division because UFC had no idea if Brock's retarded **** was gonna come back. We all know Shogun's coming back. No need. The whole interim thing amongst people almost got outta control. lol **** was ridiculous.
the_bear413
You can't really bash Rashad for what's happened. Everyone else was scheduled to fight right around the same time he fought Rampage. Dana was the one who said that that fight would be for a title shot. Rashad won and Shogun got injured. It's not his fault. He'd gladly fight Rua in the winter, as the long layoff hurts both fighters, but it's simply not going to happen, and he shouldn't be punished because of this. team_spahr
on the flip side you have JDS. its like the UFC just throws him to the wolves, and as he prevails over and over, theyre now considering him worthy of title contention. but they coddle fighters A. Silva Griffin Koscheck Jones Evans Machida (and im a big fan) Bisping Guys they dont Lesnar(and thats saying a lot cause i am 100% not a fan) GSP Rampage JDS W. Silva Tito- say what you will, this guy has fought nothing but the top fighters for the past few years(thats when he fights), Liddell, Evans, Griffin, Machida....champ, champ, champ, champ Fitch
