James_Moss
Wouldn't this be an interesting matchup considering these guys have not fought in the WW division, but Frankie has been bullying a fighter who has fought sucessfully as a WW and has actually obtained the WW title at one time before (BJ Penn)? I know that these guys would have to come to GSP's weight class since GSP has been adding more muscle weight to his arsenal. Just thought that this could be a possible interesting matchup to chat about.
ToiletSeat
GSP would dominate both of them. GSP, no matter how much i don't want to agree with some of his fans, is one of the top p4p fighters, number 1 or 2.
James_Moss
Might be suprised. These guys are great boxers and wrestlers. GSP probably wins, but I wouldn't count these guys out because their hearts are so big.
JHenry
GSP wouldnt waste time on the feet like Penn. Had Penn came out in round 1-3 like he did in 4-5, he would have eventually obtained a good position from which to work his bjj from. Edgar would be taken down faster then someone could say "Damn that guy is small compared to GSP". Maynard wouldnt fair any better
Jeffro21
GSP is way to big for them he would win
Craig_M
GSP is way to big and strong for both of them... oh and he's a more skilled fighter. I dont want to see any more Lightweights fight GSP, he would beat anyone at LW easily imo
uaquin
I'm wondering how you figure a 5'6 guy who cuts zero weight to make 155 like Edgar could even get close to 170lbs. Its to bad the UFC doesn't have a 145lb division. Edgar could easily make that weight and be a 2 division champ. Well except the 145lb division would come with Aldo and that would be a tough fight for anyone.

team_spahr
More than anything, the outcome of Penn and Edgar comes down to Penn losing the fight. Mostly due to the fact that he wont do the things he needs to do to win. Penn has a comfort zone, and hes had success, so why explore from it? Well, Edgar was doing the necessary things required to win the fight, while penn just wanted to just do his thing and hope it leads to a win. GSP is from the greg jackson camp. The very definition of doing the small things you dont particularly want to do, but are demanded from you if you want a W. GSP is the master of those tactics. I think Edgar would be much too small on the feet, GSP would explore leg kicks, would be strong enough to avoid takedowns, and probably get some takedowns of his own. GSP by outclassed in every area. But I do think Edgar wouldnt look that bad.
