7 Billion seems extreme but the station casinos arent doing very good.

They built 2 new properties, bought out a bunch of smaller ones and put in a big renovation on boulder station right before the recession hit.

Hotels in vegas have been slaughtered the last few years. I wouldnt be surprised if they were a billion or two in the hole.

They are currently filing for bankruptcy.

The politician was not entirely accurate. The Fertitta brothers are not bankrupt. One of their corporations' date=' Station Casinos, is going through bankruptcy. This is a completely separate corporate entity and has no relation to the UFC. This does not affect Zuffa at all.[/quote']

This ^^

You need to understand how business works. First of all, Bankruptcy doesn't mean you are out of business. It's often used, especially in down economies, to restructure and keep debtors on hold while you basically get your s@#&! together. The casinos are indeed suffering, but they aren't closing shop. Also, just because one business is in trouble, doesn't mean all your other businesses are too. The way these things are setup, they tend to be shielded between eachother. If one is doing badly, it's not like they are dipping into the profits of the other to keep both afloat, they are completely independant financial entities (unless stuctured under a single umbrela corp).

I wouldn't at all be concerned about the UFC.

Lastly, remember the old saying.....I owe you a million dollars, I work for you. I owe you a Billion dollars, you work for ME.
