What do you think about Machida's fighting style? Love it or hate it?

I love it. It's exciting. It feels like it's from a classic kung-fu movie.

And the hallmark of his style is - his opponent is always going down. ;]

5 ko, tko out of 16 fights. He really benefits from the cage which allow a lot of movement. He kind of uses area and the limited time to his favor. The rules makes fighters play his game.

I don't think that it is the cage as he was a little timid when he first joined the ufc as well. But he has changed since then and is very exciting now.

I don't get the recent hate this guys been gettin'. Yeah he's elusive and **** but when he goes to engage he's lookin' to KUTFO and his striking technique is completely different than most fighters. How anyone hates on the Dragon is beyond me.

Im hopin' Rampage KO's the **** outta him though :)

He does have good take downs and sweeps but his GnP is so pitiful. I hate seeing him in top position and not being able to deliver anything.

Spontaneous power seems to be the only thing lacking in his arsenal.

By that I mean his power comes from his technique that has to be set up. Shogun showed us if you interrupt his set up, he's lacking much.

'Page is almost the polar opposite in this regard.

In nature, when you have two animal opponents, and one has brute strength, and the other, speed and agility, the one with speed and agility most often wins.

Don't get me wrong. I have Machida winning this fight. The only thing which worries me is if and when Rampage has Machida cornered against the fence like the same scenario as Rashad and Chuck.

In any other place of the octagon, Mahcida should be in good hands.

I didn't get you wrong.

I was agreeing with you, and expounding on our common opinion.

contrary to popular belief, the guy does a lot more than just "run away"... if no action is being pressed he'll shoot in for a combo, dart out and go for a counter when that person is reacting... if nothing is happening Machida will move in rather than just waiting for the other guy to try and strike... the guy has an amazing amount of skill and technique and just because he doesn't have that one punch KO power it shouldn't be overlooked... I love how all these guys try to say "Machida's "style" is boring like its Machida fault these guys can't hit him...
