Falcao is a beast.

The 1st rd, his punches were so quick, was out of my chair going mental.

He nearly put harris to sleep.

 

Granted tho the 3rd was boring. But right at the end you can tell he got proper pissed off by Harris for askin him to fight back.

 

I was impressed by Falcao tbh, but the guy needs to even tho he is winning to still fight. lol.

if chael sonnen used that strategy, we wouldve had a new champion....well until the drug test results came in!

 

i mean he beat silva's *** for four and a half rounds. instead of continuing the onslaught, he should have taken a page out of anderson's book and just coasted the last round, maybe taunt and dance a little bit and avoid all strikes.

 

then again what am i saying? this had nothing to do with the falcao fight. polar opposite if you ask me. the guy knew he was up two rounds, and decided to not go for the finish. i guess its better to play it safe, wouldnt want to beat the hell out of the guy for 2 and a half rounds only to get caught in a triangle or anything

 

that other guy's stance looked rather ridiculous though.

Agree, I think nerves got him, and he knew he won the fight, and didnt want to make a mistake, first fight on the big dance, in a ppv give him a chance guys, I think he looked GREAT. but yes 3rd round sucked donkey nutz.

25 finishes in his career and he should be cut after 1 uneventful fight? Dude looked great tbh. Great TDD, striking and sub attempts. That was nerves of his UFC debut and him being weary of the takedown.

 

I had heard hype about this guy pre UFC and I can see why. He has talent and I look forward to seeing him fight again.

thats a bunch of bs!!! He did enough in the first two rounds to lay back the 3rd. Its not the first time this has happened.

 

Go Fire Jon Fitch. His opponents walk out with ZERO damage.....maybe some rug burn from getting dry humped for 15 mins.

thats it.... Kos did it to Daley for 3 rounds, just used a different aspect, Fitch has done it all his life, Evans wall and stalled Rampage.... its sport fighting, damage is out the window, its a points game.... if you dont like it, I better see you trawling Edgar and GSP threads as well, and hope you layed the boot into Silva for the Maia fight.

 

though I may be bias.... I think he is a beast.... and am keeping my eye out for timeshare options on his plums... cant be there yr round because of my duties to Palhares and McLovin.

snap out of it.... anyone around for long enough would know that it is a sport... its a points game these days..... if its not.... go hit Dana up to strip GSP, and Edgar of their titles..... fool!

Yeah. Guess I'm just kind of tired of these boring fighters lately. Want to see matches finished.

Wasnt the best, though if you watch, it was a windpipe choke, forearm across his adams apple.... if it was sunk into the crook of his elbow, the bell wasnt saving him... Dont think it had much of a bearing at all.

He was scared and tentative of losing his UFC debut, so he didn't take any more chances than he needed to. He won the first two rounds in dominant fashion so he's not gonna risk his place in the organization straight off the bat. Although he did show some ridiculously powerful and quick striking when he WAS striking, Harris couldn't stand with him after he started throwing..

This is just dumb, he is obviously a great fighter with alot of talent and skills. Why cut him, just because his opponent wasnt good enough to push him? Put him in there with someone on his skill level, and it would be a amazing fight. And why should he go for the finish, and take the risk, if he already knows hes ahead? That would just be dumb right. You all blame him for not doing anything in the 3rd round but it was his opponent who was not pushing him to do anything. So you want to cut him, and hire some crappy fighter who sux but gets your respect because he pushes the pace and would get his *** kicked by this guy. I really don't understand your logic. This kinda stuff will scare top talent away from the ufc.

harris was supposed to be more experienced in UFC (not mma overall) and was treated as a nice prospect. Thats how he ended up on the ppv card. So why is everyone critisising falcao and not harris?? His stance is unorthodox and quite frankly i think its a very defencive stance, all he has in mind is to be low and avoid damage and then drop a fast single jab and maybe shoot for takedown. So how do you find this strategy?? Its even worst than rashads! Thats all he did in the fight besides getting his *** kicked. He never threw a combo.

 

Falcao had to face this strange strategy, had nerves, was a newcomer and wanted to find his range and rythym. I didnt know anything about him but from his footwork i realised he was skilled and experienced. He was maybe to patient. But he was the only one that responded to the boos. His outburst with quick punches was vicious and he went for 3-4 subs and hold on to them prety nice. Harris was looking defeated already and he was scared from the furry of punches he recieved at the end of the first. And then all he did was go low in this stupid stance and drop a jab every 2 minutes. Even in the 3rd round thats all he did. YES it was a disgracefull round and falcao steped back and ate some popcorn watching haris doing the same stupid thing over and over. He even had the nerve to complain to falcao for not engaging, now thats the most ridiculous thing i ve seen lately in all mma, that was more ridiculous than james toney going down from a low single

 

So who should be cut, haris or falcao? the only one who fought was falcao and he showed great potential. All he needs is better quidance now. It seems like he might have a loose screw in his mind, so give him some nice trainers to keep him in line and he will be a major force.

I found it quite amusing how Rogan was all like "it's not just about winning, you need to put on an exciting performance, blablabla".. I sure didn't hear any of that when Maynard did jack [censored] for 4 minutes before scoring 1 single takedown every single round against Florian..

 

Let's say Falcao was to get cut, then they definately would have to cut Harris too, he was losing the fight, yet he did absoloutley nothing to turn it around in the third round..

Unfortunately they look at the guy who they think could finish the fight. The one that has the upper hand in the cage. They look at him and expect him to perform and finish. They don't look at the other guy. It's kind of stupid to be honest. Let me get this straight. Falcao side strafes and does way more than Rampage,and he gets bashed. Yet Rampage doesn't? How does that make sense.

 

The only difference is Rampage was swinging for air and stalking his opponent......facepalm.

More so Harris's fault that Falcao , Harris HAD TO FINISH to win the fight so I don't there was anything wrong on sitting back , waiting and preparing for the storm Harris was supposed to bring.

 

Being aggressive gives your opponents more openings and after 2 definitive rounds 1 even being a 10/8 in my eyes Harris should have put his gas on the petal the entire 3rd round and didn't.

 

Falcao is to blame somewhat and all the hate is pinned on him because he won and Harris lost so you guys just forget about him.
