Looks like the fans aren't the only ones to kick a man while he's down.

Let me start this off by saying I am by no means a fan of Brock. My personal opinion is that the UFC took an extremely bad approach on how they brought him up and marketed him, and that alienated me as a fan of his almost immediately. He may be a great person in normal life, but I don't care for him as a fighter.

But my question is regarding all the recent interviews done with fighters such as Don Frye, Bigfoot Silva, Allster Overeem, and M-1 president Vadim Finkelchtein. In all these interviews the people involved are consistently bashing Brock regarding his fighter status, ability, etc, And rightfully so IMO. But my question is this......

Why is all this being done now after Brock was beaten by Cain? When the man was winning fights I can't think of a single interview where he was being discredited and now there are tons of them? Is it really a fighters agenda to try and kick a man while he's down just to get in his head a little and reduce competition, or did the fighters not feel it was ok to bash him while he was winning fights because they didn't feel they could back up their claim?

Regardless, it just seems odd to me that all of this comes out the second he gets manhandled by Cain, but was never an issue while he was winning. Anyway it's just my view on it.

Thanks for reading.

I think people were just jealous of his immediate success so the first chance they have to kick dirt at him they jump on it. If it makes them feel better, Don Frye shouldn't talk. At the last event he commentated he talked about coming home drunk and slapping the woman arond (live) the guy is an idiot.

in 1v1 combat between 2 men, it has always been human nature to humiliate an opponent who is defeated. In the days of gladiators, fighters who lost were sodomized by the winner. Fans loved it. Today sadly, we dont do that anymore, but instead we humiliate fighters with bad PR.

cain beat brock not only because he's a better striker but because he had the wrestling to let him use his striking.

overeem and big foot silva are idiots if their talking **** about brock because he would make a litle boy out of both of them.

as for vladimir finkelstein does anyone really listen to anything this guy says?

don frye is a legend but but he belongs to another time, even in his prime brock would have took him down battered the mustahce of him.

Overrem IMO would land strikes way to quickly for Brock to mount any kind of offense, and as far as Bigfoot goes, I think he would have to submit him after Brock took him to the ground because his boxing is a little too slow.

overeem hasn't beat any top fighter since 2006, and has never beat a top HW. what would make you think he could beat brock. he's be on his back within about a second.

MMA fans such as myself loathe Bork because we've always known that there at least 20 heavyweights who could easily beat him. He's always been a fraud' date=' a paper champion...real MMA fans don't like that.[/quote']What does that say about Herring, Couture, Mir and Carwin then? who are these 20 by the way?

The roots have began sprouting and a stem pops out of the soil. With plenty of sunshine and water, this plant has grown faster than anticipated and is bearing fruits as we speak.

As a nomad wandering in this god-forsaken wasteland, I cannot wait for the fruits to ripen.
