With all the stupidity and moronic statements that get thrown around this place, I thought I would take a minute to remind all of you that the greatest P4P fighter on the planet will be gracing all of you with his presence again in Feb.

I know you have all been bored watching mediocre fighters and you're all ready to see the best of the best again.

Anderson Silva - Great fighter but his actions in the Maia fight were disgusting in my opinion! He can go undefeated for the rest of his career and all i would be able to see is the disrespectful chump that showed his true colours in the Maia fight. I mean in the first 2 rounds Silva had plenty of chances to finish Maia dropped him a few times and had him rolling in the floor looking for safety. Silva would have had more than enough time to finish Maia before he came to his senses and try grabbing a leg for a sub (which a few people try to defend Silva for) but no he decided to be a show boater and be really disrespectful Maia for saying and i quote " Well he is called the Spider but i am going to take one of his legs!" i mean come on there is so much worse Maia could have said but no all he basically said he was going to try and sub him really and Silva decided to do what he did for the last three rounds. Disgusting really disgusting especially when he was screaming Insults at maia in Portuguese and what i have read it was really abusive stuff he was yelling. I mean Maia showed him nothing but respect and Silva does that! Quite frankly i hope no first time watchers was watching that fight i mean it is embarrassing the UFC are trying to show the sport is respectful and things alike and if anybody seen that they would think terrible things about the sport that they have no respect and quite frankly it was boring after the first 2 rounds.

I mean Maia even got so frustrated that by the end of the 4th round he was begging Silva to exchange and basically Knock him out all through the 5th too!

I have mad respect for Maia though that fight showed what kind of fighter he is somebody that is there for the fans and would rather get KTFO than get a boring decision loss.

Mad Props to Maia in that fight!

But all i can see everytime i see SIlva nowadays all i think of is the disrespectful Punk he was at UFC 112! That is no way to act especially as champion since he will be one fighter that the UFC promotes regularly. that night he did not act like a Champ and does not deserve to be hailed as a pretty much icon in the sport!

Alright

I disagree and in my opinion when Silva gets bored over the fact that he has competition in the ring with him that has no reason being there he does stuff like that...I enjoy it. Others don't.

The respect aspect of MMA has always bothered me...You don't love someone and then try and break their face or their arm. Just fight! and the hell with respect.
