Towhatend, good thinking on the Twitter idea, I came up with an opponent....hopefully we all can get this changed!!

I, along with many others on this forum think George Sotiropolis deserves a better opponent than Dennis Siver. If you vote yes and have a twitter account, twee'd Dana White and express your disgust for this fight. I would much rather see G-Sot fight someone the likes of Sean Sherk.

If you agree please twee'd....Dana will hear the call of the fans......hopefully. G-Sot will gain absolutely nothing from a Siver victory.

And if you have someone else from Sotiropolis to fight in mind....by all means post it.

me neither. lol :D but.....maybe enough complains by those who have twitter can get this fixed. G-Sot deserves a better opponent....not a sacrificial lamb for his home crowd.

I dont think Siver is a sacrificial lamb. If it hits the ground G-Sot will win probably pretty quick but on the feet I think Siver will give him all he wants so I see a competitive fight

i think G Sot deserves a hgiher level fighter to be honest, but his standup in the alst fight was sloppy and i can actually see siver giving him problems he has decent wrestling and far superior standup. I wouldnt be suprised to be honest if G Sot asked for this fight. No need to rush in for a title shot he obviously needs to owrk on his striking.

It's not really about who G-Sot deserves, it's about what lightweights are available and willing to fight him in time for a fight in February. I'm sure G-Sot could've gotten a bigger name for an opponent if he really wanted, but he wanted to fight again in time to be able to have his next fight in Australia, so they really just took something that was available to them, and Siver does have some momentum, so that's a bonus.

Same here I agree with the fight but, Sherk would be a good one too so, either way it's a win/win for me to see.

i think he should face penn or maynard for his title shot for sure. hes already proven himself as a legit, top level bjj practitioner, and although his striking was below par for this fight i feel its because he would have trained so hard for a ground war considering his opponent. he showed great standup against pellegrino and joe daddy, so we know hes got decent hands when he works on them. as far as cardio, i really havent seen him gas in any of his fights, he likes to push the pace and looks to me like he can run it for a full 5 rounds. he may not be as quick as edgar, but hes definetely stronger and better on the ground so i feel it would be a VERY interesting fight. hes def. in the top 5 LW's but like i said, a win over maynard or penn should give him a title shot for sure.

ps. KYLE NOKE NEXT LHW CHAMP

Agreed. I think the time frame has a lot to do with it. In one regard you gotta give it up for G-Sot. He is willing to give up potentially a #1 contender fight to fight for his Aussie fans. I was kinda hoping G-Sot would welcome one of the bigger name WEC guys into the UFC, like Cerrone or the maybe the loser of Henderson vs Pettis.
