MMA_Limburg
My Brazilian language isn't that great, but I clearly heard Lyoto saying to Joe Rogan after the fight, he thinks Rampage is a sportsman and a great champion. Soares translated for Lyoto and 'forgot' to mention this to Rogan. Instead, he just said Lyoto liked an immediate rematch, and its up to the ufc to choose if it's going to happen. Lyoto to me obviously tried to give Rampage credit for his fight, and the way he reacted after the split decision and called for a rematch. Soares on the other hand decided for himself to give the translation another spin, giving no credit to Rampage whats so ever. IMO lord Soares finds it hard to accept that a former construction worker beat one of his Blackhouse demi-gods in a 3 round fight. DEAL WITH IT ED!! And stop being such a sore loser and give people some credit for their achievements
TheTerribleWilliamson
Neither Machida nor Rampage desereve much of a pat on the back for that performance. They both looked mediocre.

towhatend
Ed Soares is a businessman/PR person first and a translator second. It gets rather irritating sometimes. Though the UFC 117 conference call was still a highlight of the year in media.

Besides Machida also said (when Rogan asked him about the decision) that he heard Rampage saying that he won the fight. I know Machida miss understood Rampage's words but still Ed Soares should've translated that as well. Where can I send my CV to be a translator for these guys, free tickets for my buddies and I could be my paycheck plus a few MMA lessons

Awesome_sauce
Has Ed Soares stopped sitting next to his fighters during the press conferances? It just occured to me that Chael might have got to him, and dear Ed didn't like the spotlight as much after that
