wingzero8717
George St Pierre vs Josh Koscheck - Winner fight Jake Shields. BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch - may be #1 contender fight Thiago Alves vs Doomsday Howard - Winner gets back in WW title picture Carlos Condit vs Resurgent Chris Lytle - winner may be close too title shot. Martin Kampmann vs Paulo Thiago 2 - Both men are coming off losses may be a possible fight. Diego Sanchez vs Jake Ellenberger - Both guys had impressive wins maybe a possible fight in 2011. Dan Hardy vs Mike Pyle - May be a possibility as Hardy's loss and Pyle's win may have them near equal in the rankings. Post any other possible welterweight match ups below and comment on some of the hypothetical ones i put together, discuss below.

RD350LC_Owner
I Dont think Jon will be able to Fitch BJ. I mean GSP is litterally the only welterweight to take him down, I dont see Fitch doing that to Penn. I say Penn/Fitch looks like Penn Hughes

Little Frankie did it more than once. I do agree that the WW will be interesting as after beating Kos and Shields I could see GSP finally making the move to MW. Really what would be left for him then at 170lbs? Another rematch with either Penn or Fitch, guys he destroyed his last fight with them? So we may see an open title fight between the winner of Fitch vs Penn and maybe Condit vs Lytle.

Penn shot in on hughes in the Third round and Matt Reversed him and got the crusifix on him. And its GSP nuff said

And watch other Penn fights? When BJ is motivated he is a force to be reckoned with. People always talk about BJs lack of a gas tank blah blah blah. But think about it, BJ wins the Welterweight title from Hughes then goes and gets uber fat and fights Lyoto to what should have been a win. Without gassing. Comes back and fights GSP is winning until he gets his will broken, then fights hughes and genuinely loses. Then he goes on a destruction of the LW div and comes up against a guy who has every tool to beat BJ, (on points). BJ was just not motivated to fight Edgar plain and simple. Will broken in an instant! This is why BJ needs Fitch if he gets Fitched and keeps his wits about him great but if he gets fitched and folds ( like he did Frankie) then we will see the FACE again as i keep saying it seems that BJ needs to know he is winning or he folds

It's that Edgar's speed and style frustrated him.

When BJ is motivated he is a force to be reckoned with... So when BJ wins he's a force to be reckoned with...but when he loses he just wasn't being himself? So what you're saying is that nobody has ever really beaten the real BJ Penn? Just a quick question for you, do you ever hear a little voice in your head that says "Wow, I shouldn't post that because is sounds really gay!" after writing one of these BJ is gods gift to MMA posts? Do us a favour, start listening to that little voice.
