I think Penn vs Edgar' date=' it was painful to watch :(

Discuss thnx.[/quote']

Why do people put Discuss... Thats the point of posting... if people are interested then they will... Do people really think them putting Discuss will affect the choices of people to talk about a subject. Really fill me in on why people bother. And does it affect anyone ever. It's just that stupid...

You have to ask Pessimist Pete, he puts that on all his threads! :)

It makes the poster believe that all the people are replying to the thread because they put "discuss", not because like you said it's a forum and that's what forums are for. Posters who put that think they have some sort of importance or power over the people that responded. It gives them a false sense of authority and makes them feel all cozy inside.

Werdum/Fedor was the biggest upset' date=' for me at least.

That **** had me speechless.[/quote']

I must agree... the entire time I was talking to my buddy wondering why he jumped in Wedum's guard?. Fedor knocked him down and then pulled a rookie mistake by jumping in his guard and exposing his head and arm. It was definitely one of the biggest upsets and I believe it is the biggest in MMA this year.

Penn vs Edgar.

Werdum had a legit way to potentially win that fight going in and that was using his BJJ. Upset? Yes, but within the realm of possibility.

Edgar going in had no way anyone thought he could win that fight. If someone said prior to the fight Edgar would go 5 rounds standing with Penn and win they would have been shouted down as crazy. No way little Frankie can stand with Penn.

We're no strangers to love

You know the rules and so do I

A full commitment's what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We've know each other for so long

Your heart's been aching

But you're too shy to say it

Inside we both know what's been going on

We know the game and we're gonna play it

And if you ask me how I'm feeling

Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Repeat Chorus

Give you up, give you up

Give you up, give you up

Never gonna give,

Never gonna give, give you up

Never gonna give,

Never gonna give, give you up

Last four lines repeated

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Chorus times three

Biggest upset in the MMA community: Werdum/Fedor.

Biggest upset IMO: Duffee/Russow.

I'm not sure I agree that Duffee/Russow was an upset. An upset is usually defined by pre-fight expectations. Prior to that fight, I wouldn't say Duffee was seen as an overwhelming favourite by anyone other than the bandwagon jumpers who got all excited after watching Duffee KO Hague in seven seconds and proclaimed him the future HW champ. Russow was the veteran fighter with a 13-1 record including a win in Pride. Sure, based on how the fight went, it was certainly a come-from-behind win but I don't think its an upset.
