Get in here, nerds!

So, I've been on this site for nearly two years, and I've finally hit 1,000 comments. Some may call me lazy, but the truth is, unlike 90% of the geeks that reside here, I actually have a life :). Nonetheless, in celebration of my 1000th comment, I'm here to teach "some" of you a lesson.

It's hard not to notice the obsessive fanboy behavior if you frequent this, or any other MMA related site, so I'm hear educate those blinded by the almighty hype machine, that your favorite fighter probably isn't the squeaky clean role model that you believe him to be. Now look, I'm sure many on this site are aware that the "TV" guy isn't the same as the "real" guy, but for those who are not aware, here is a little nugget of a story to set you straight.

First of all, I'm not here to ruin anyone's life or career, so the fighter whom is the subject of this story shall remain nameless. The fighter I'm talking about, is a well known UFC fighter, with several fights in the UFC, and is seen by most to be a pretty good guy. I guess it was a couple of years ago, and this fighter was at a party that my wife and I were attending (not the first time I've partied with this guy). My first thought was, wow this guy is at a party, with a beer in his hand, and is headlining a UFC card in three weeks. There is no need to go into great detail about everything that went on that night, but let's just say that not only could this guy not keep the straw out of his nose, but also disappeared into one of the bedrooms with a rather attractive female whom was not his wife.

Not all fighters engage in this behavior, but there are many that do, so be careful when you fall in love, and hang that poster over your bed.

For the record, the subject of this story was completely destroyed three weeks later. On the bright side, a good friend of mine (also attending that party) went to Vegas the day after the party, and dropped 5K on this guys opponent, knowing it was a sure bet. It was a good payday, considering these guys were essentially even money.

Good man. I can not stand a DOG (a low life scum)

I know of few UFC fighters that used to do ......... (this is true I do' date=' but not saying what, so STFU)

But is it my place to tell people - NO[/quote']

Exactly. My wife, on the other hand, has told this story at least 50 times. Good thing she doesn't come here.

So you approve of this attention whoring method? It's like when your little sister really wants to tell you something, but milks it out for a long time by acting like she doesn't want to tell you, so she makes you guess, and guess, until you're not even interested anymore, then she tells you. If you don't want to tell, don't bring it up and no one will know.

What was the point? That fighters and athletes aren't on a higher plateau of decency and morals? I already know that, no one is perfect and athletes/politicians/religious leaders have proven that time and time again. Who cares? Tiger woods, Michael Phelps, Brett Favre, Lawrence Taylor, countless priests..... need I go on?

Or was the point that you and your awesome buddy dropped 5,000 dollars on a bet and won?

How much of your story is made up to "prove a point"?

Why would I need to make anything up? I think your "need to know" says a lot about you. Read it again, noob.

You would need to make stuff up for the same reason you call attention and celebrate your 1,000th post? Same reason you need to refer to everyone as nerds? make yourself feel good?

There are stories much better than this. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

I was completely lost. Your speech had all sorts of turns and no real point. When I was done reading your oddessey, I scratched my head and said, "Huh?"

So you're lazy but you have a life and your wife throws parties and invite MMA fighters who would come and bang girls in your bedroom..............and you did not once mention you were distrot by this???

Are you trying adopt Quintin Tarantino into your writing? :)

Didn't realize Prof. KFM was going to scrutinize my perfect example of ADD.:) Besides, who said we threw a party? This behavior would never take place in mi casa homes.
