i dont think Soares understands that Lyoto's style isnt effective in the UFC unless he gets the finish. The judging criteria hasnt changed for a while now, and Lyoto's style does not earn him many points nor should his style change how the fight should be judged. This is probably why Machida is involved with controversial decisions(2 out of his last 3 fights isnt a coincidence imo)

you do realize that prior to the Shogun fight Machida was 15-0 and had never even lost a single round in the UFC. Rounds 1 & 2 looked similar to the Ortiz fight. Just sayin. I'd rather have my foot stomped than my knee kicked that's for sure.
