Jake Shields should have gotten a MW belt too then!!!! Jose Aldo was only a champion because he had never faced real competition' date=' as Dana White says "YOU DONT FIGHT IN THE UFC, THEN YOU DONT COUNT!!!"

THIS THIS IS STRAIGHT UP ****ING FRIED BOLOGNI AND COW SHOES!@!!!!!!!!!!!!![/quote']

Because UFC now merged WEC with them. Now WEC = UFC and Jose Aldo was the 145lb champ of WEC = UFC.

Jake Sheilds came from Strikeforce, which is not owned by the UFC.

You are full of stupid today bro. Take a day off.

+ 1. UFC or GTFO. He should have to fight real competition in the UFC to prove he deserves the belt instead of getting a UFC belt gifted to him based on him fighting weaker competition in WEC.

So considering the UFC did not have a 145lb division prior to the merger just how exactly was Aldo supposed to face UFC competition? The WEC had the highest level of competition in that weight class in North America, which is part of the reason the UFC merged them in. The fact is he was already facing the best and will continue to face the best at 145, its just under a different banner now.

The point is, he is getting a UFC belt without fighting UFC level competition. Lets be honest, nothing compares to the UFC, not even the WEC.

At 145lbs, the WEC was UFC level competition. The UFC did not have a 145lbs division until now. And do you know who is in that division? All of the guys who made up the WEC's 145 div. So yes, the WEC was UFC level competition.

Come on, guys. This isn't rocket surgery.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Seriously though, I have four belts and I never fought in the UFC. I have a black one, a brown one, a black/ brown reversable one, and a chastity belt I wear when I go to gay bars to get guys to buy drinks for me. If I had known I had to fight in the UFC before I was allowed to have them I wouldn't have bought them. I feel like such a fraud...

Those belts added up do not equal a UFC belt.

Lol at you trying to compare the UFC and WEC. WEC isn't even close to the same level of competition as the UFC.

Wow dude what part of they did not have a 145 pound belt dont you understand. The UFC saw that the WEC was the elite at that weight class and merged. If they did not feel the guys in WEC were up to par they would not have merged. Im sure some guys got UFC contracts some didnt.

Do you want aldo to fight an imaginary UFC 145 pound champ?

So now the question remains who knows best, the ufc who made the merger or you, a random guy who has limited to no info about the WEC and the UFCs merger?

Seriously dude...get a life. You must have better things to do with your time than purposely act like a moron on the internet.

Down time at work. This is an obvious troll thread and you should have better things to do than argue about things that are ridiculously obvious.

Ok now go ahead and put down the crack pipe, and consider this Jake Shields will get his chance too prove he's worthy of being a UFC Champion, and as for Aldo he one of the best fighters in the world, and who else deserves a UFC featherweight title? Oh you must be a Faber fanboy!
