Jamhet
I LOL'd at the idea in the other thread for a Machida/Hamill fight. But Machida vs. Jones is what should happen after Jones humiliates Bader, who isn't much of a different opponent than Hamill was.

Jones is already taken, and Machida needs a build-up fight to get him back up, but a build-up fight where his opponent won't simply crumple like a beer can to his fight style. StephenColbert
after bones humiliates bader he should only be one fight away from the title and it should be against machida or the winner of the griffin/franklin fight.
JP24
Oh, and for the record, my thread was about one Machida could win in, this one, Machida would be completely humiliated by Jon Jones.

That's what you think. This is also why they fight.
claudiorebelo
A build up fight for Machida for sure. And I really think Machida has a decent chance against Jones. In fact, Machida is probably one of the worst match ups for Jones in the LHW division.
uaquin
Jones if he gets by Bader is going to be fighting Page for the #1 contender. If he loses to Bader, than Jones vs Machida is a fight that makes a lot of sense.
Epilogue1406051983
this has been my dream fight since day 1... I like them both so I'd be happy with whoever won... I'd hope Machida could pull off the win but I think Machida would also be the underdog in this fight... Jones is young and still a little green but is a beast of a human being, so this fight would be one of those epic skill vs strength fights... like I said I think Machida would be the underdog but at the same time would still have a strong chance given that Jones also likes to pick and choose his shots standing and Machida has a wealth of judo/sumo experience to keep him on his feet (or take Jones to the ground for that matter) either way this would be a great fight and it would boost the confidence of the winner by leaps and bounds... KarateMark
This would be a really exciting match up. Bones vs The Dragon Thinking Lyoto is the underdog is a slap in the face dude. Lyoto is still top 3. In fact, he should still remain ranked #2 despite his loss against Rampage. Lyoto clealry proved to be a more effective fighter against Rampage then Rampage did against him. Bones is a good fighter, but he has yet to face a truly dominant top tier fighter. Matt Hamill would get utterly tooled by Lyoto. Bad for Hamil, doesn't help Machida. Melvinj0
Machida Vs Phil Davis would make more sense.
GstarUk
IMO it should be Bones Vs Rampage Machida Vs Couture

joshdfs
The fights which would be relevant to the standings would be Rampage vs the Jones/Bader winner, and Machida vs the loser. simple stuff
Jbrahams
I think so too. most likely
I_MC
I think Machida vs Hammil makes sense. If Jones gets past Bader, he should get winner of Forrest vs Franklin.
fredshaulage
When Bones crushes Bader his next fight should be a top contender fight. Is that Rampage? I f*ckin hope not, that would be sad and Jones would end Pages career. It's just a matter of time until the inevitable happens but the timing is all off because of the Rua injury. Machida screwed everything up by losing a fight he clearly should have won.
