Dana-Is UFC becoming "Rollerball"?

In "Rollerball" you have corporate interests financing the expensive infrastructure and flashy lifestyles of the modern galdiator rollerball athletes against some athletes and MMA-Ophiles trying to maintain a virgin purity to the sport. Here we have forum purists continually trying to reconstruct and hold onto a set of ideal characteristics of what the UFC should adhere to. I'm speaking in general terms about things like number of weight classes, scoring system, title worthiness, who should be cut, who shouldn't, who should headline, who's earned their bones, who hasn't. No complaint there, in a "Locals Only" sense, but short-sighted considering the size, scope and political(yes political) impact of the growing sport. It has grown quickly from a gut level competition to decide who's the man to a series of market driven, tightly structured, big buck events designed to attract soccer mom's, children and gramps. Every step is a compromise. Your thoughts on Dana's steermanship?
