Settling the truth about GSP behind the scenes (serious)

If you subscribe or can obtain UFC magazine. This months feature is on GSP ( no shocker there ). It actually details his whole MMA upbringing all the way until the end of his Dan Hardy fight. I cant find the link ( ill continue to search for the online article) , but if you can read this you will see how hungry and humble he really is. The main example to prove this in article states that on the fight day for gsp hardy, he was quite nervous and scared to lose and shows the crazy amount of prep time he puts into each title defense. Once the fight was over, the article continues to show that when GSP returned to the lockerroom he immediately went down to the mat to have his coach show him what he did wrong in not securing the kimura. He went on to practice this time and time again on the mat until his technique was perfect and precise.

What I found to be the best part of the article , is that it states that Dan Hardy went into Georges's lockeroom post fight, congradulated him , apologized for his trash talking saying it was all for the hype, and praised him on how good he really was. Georges complimented Hardy's mental toughness and heart in the fight and actually showed Hardy what he could have done to improve the positions he was put in. GSP then offered for Hardy to come train with him anytime he wanted and also use the knowledge of his own coaches.

I find that to be very commendable that he would do that not only for his opponent on that same night, but also a guy who had talked all that trash leading up to fight. I dont think Koscheck would ever get the same response from Georges, but this goes to show that this guy is quite possibly the most respectful champion in UFC history. Again I apologize for not finding an online viewing of the article right away, but if you have time find a copy of the issue and give it a read. Great Article.

ps also documents how Gsp got into MMA and developed over time. One of the best articles ive sene in ufc magazine so props to them for that!

That's why he is one of the best.

exactly! no one else would offer to do that for a guy like dan hardy after the things he said prefight. just goes to show not only how much hunger he has compared to everyone else but also his respect for the sport as a whole to get better, by helping fighters become better. people can complain all they want about gsp being the posterboy of the UFC but he has absolutely earned that title with the good things hes done for competitors and for the sport as a whole.

That was cool of Hardy too.[/quote']

i actually just read the aricle today and decided to let people know that it was out there . im obviously not claiming the article for myself lol just want people to know that a really good rarticle on this is out there. coming from a koscheck cabana boy like yourself your response means nothing to me

ps had anyone done a solid piece on Josh Koscheck I would gladly spread the word. Unfortunately nobody likes Koscheck besides you let alone wants to interview and follow him :)

omg i forgot the best part! i know most if not all of you have seen the new promo video with pictured of fighters on the wall being torn down leaving only kos and gsp. They actually reveal why that was used for the promo. Turns out Gsp does exactly this before every fight taping a picture of his opponent on the wall at every facility he trains at writing on the picture that he will beat this opponent on that date and retain his championship. After the fight is over he rips the photo down and throws it away much like the promo video. thought that was another cool tidbit to share

yea i mean they never in the article come out and say : This is why this promo occurred". But put two and two together and you can see where they got the idea from and I think it was very clever.

Just caught the last ultimate fighter where koscheck gives gsp the finger, just shows you the lack of class koscheck has. I do'nt know anyone that would pay to see koscheck fight, but would pay anything to see him get his *** kicked. can't wate! you can tell he's scared the way he runs his mouth. by the way what happened to the male nurse he was giving a hard time, koscheck can dish it out but he can't take it.

Now go felch Safe Pierre AGAIN....

Good day. :P[/quote']

Haha.

What's funny is that you post more about GSP than I do.

People will always hate on a certain fighter. There is nothing that can be done to change this. And verbally assaulting someone because they hate on a fighter you like shows that you have the emotional maturity of a 7 year old. If someone slams your favourite fighter, take it for what it is and move along. I hate reading about someones problem with GSP and a GSP fan running in and telling the person to taste "so and so's" balls or how deluded they are. Seriously, just leave it alone.

Just reminds me of how much of the "Bad Blood" hype the UFC pushes is a load of crap. Most MMA fighters are beyond respectful. They appreciate the amount of hard work and sacrifice that goes into becoming a success.

The majority of fighters are respectful, you're right about that. When we see a fighter talking trash, it's usually to hype the fight. They're not going to hype the fight by saying respectful things to each other. Imagine if they sat there in their interviews and said "I love that guy" and "I respect that guy". Trash talk hypes the fight, no doubt.

HAHA.

It doesn't change the fact that you didn't want to sig bet me on the fight. You scared, Shin?

I'm not really worried about the sig bet situation. But overall, you think about GSP more than I do, yet you're telling me that I'm going to have wet dreams?

BWAHAHA.

No, go grow some balls, then come back when you have the courage to back the fighter you're so positive is going to win. Until then, you have no courage to stand up to me.

Anyone who thinks Kos is going to win can sig bet with me. Reply to this or PM me. That's how confident I am.

You have no balls, Shin. Go back to drinking Fosters and roping kangaroos.

Good day, mate. :P

+1 exactly my point! He has what most other fighters dont. his hunger and his heart wont allow him to lose again. When you have a drive like that along with his superior talent, he simply will NOT lose. GSP is what being a champion is all about. Haters like Koscheck and all his fanboys will always hate because they lack the one quality a fighter cant learn at a gym. Koscheck has talent, skill, endurance, power, etc. but he doesnt have the drive and he certainly doesnt have the heart. That will always be his downfall and is GSP's greatest strength. They say to attack your opponent where he is weak. Thats exactly what GSP will do. Attack Josh's heart and drive and eventaually break him down. Hardy had the heart to fight through it at least. Koscheck will crumble
