New guy coming thru

Is it just me, or does Dana White only appear to care about money, and not much else.

How good (or bad) is this guy for MMA? Recently, he was quoted as saying "f'ing

ridiculous" when asked about a guy who had no arms or legs wanting to break into

MMA, when this guy had already proven himself as an accomplished wrestler. The guy

actually had his first MMA fight, and only lost by decision. What does it say about the

president of the UFC if he can't find it in his heart to be supportive of the physically

challenged? Instead being inspired by it, he is repulsed by it. What do you think?

You're right. The only way MMA will be recognized as a mainstream sport is if we let a limbless fighter compete in the octagon.

P.S.- He lost by decision because they made special rules that you couldn't kick him in the head.

I don't feel like it.:P

Nah, JK.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you if he's good or bad for the sport. I don't think MMA would be where it is without him, but some of his decisions haven't been the greatest. (Harris cut)

At this point, he does more good then harm, so, keep him.

Edit-And if you didn't want people to talk about it, you shouldn't have used it as an example. Dana White isn't "repulsed" by handicapped people, he's repulsed at the idea of having a guy with no arms or legs in a combat sport. And I would be too. Sure, it's cool to follow your dreams, but there are some hurdles you just cant overcome.

So the only reason this guy should stick around is because he revived the

sport... nobody else could have done that. Is that right?

I do believe that no one else could have done that' date=' or at least not as successfully as DW.

He is also the face of the UFC. Getting rid of him now wouldn't prove to be the best decision.

One of the things that I have always liked about Dana is his foul mouth. I can't stand all the political correctiveness going on in the world. DW will usually tell you what [i']he[/i] thinks, regardless of what others might. And some people have the strange misconception that because he swears, he's a bad person. This is completely false, the guy donated a bucketload of money into Cancer research, or something of that nature.

What you heard. ;)

Have always read the forums and finally

decided to create an account.

Thats about it.

Welcome to the forums.

The question was' date=' is Dana White good for this sport. The question was not, should

limbless fighters be allowed to compete in MMA. How about a nonsarcastic answer

to the question buddy.[/quote']

lol
