Will Brock Lesnar be Champion again?

Brock was embarrased by Cain. Now to me Brock is the kind of guy who seems like if someone embarrases him so badly he will go back to the drawing board and redesign himself.

Dana will give Brock another title shot no worries but it is all about how well Lesnar is able to improve his MMA.

I personally think Lesnar got caught up in his own hype and stopped improving on his technique because he thought he could outclass Cain on the ground if he was loosing the stand up. This was not the case.

After a destroying Mir and a huge upset over Carwin Lesnar thought he was invincible.

Lesnar will come back Mid 2011, have a dominant performance over Big Nog, where he will display some more fluent striking. Shortly after this win i think he will fight Carwin where he is able to finally take a punch and keep on fighting.

Well this is the desired evolution. It is 100% possible for Brock to acheive this. Brock is a dedicated man. It's his dedication that will win him the title again, and uncle Dana will give him the opportunities to get the title.

I voted no...

however... I do think that if Brock worked his way up slowly to his next title shot... say three fights to the title shot... and during that time trains at several different camps while picking a tried, tested, and true camp as his base (Quest, AKA, ATT, Greg Jackson, etc.), I think he could win the title back...

essentially... if he actually EARNS his next shot, he can win it...

I'm a Brock fan and sad to say it but in a way is good that he lost and got beaten because now he knows he is beatable and now he is gonna have to rework and get back at the title hunt, some people say he didn't deserve the belt in the first place! I couldn't disagreed with them but I do say he does belong in UFC he proves he is a legitament contender with the skills and strenght he posses, all he needs its the right people to use that and make him in to a lethal fighter, he defense needs improvement, his striking has been getting better but when he gets into those 2 by 2 punches is were he starts backing out, I believe he will be back because history has prove it that no Heavyweight has ever defended the title 3 times in a row, I say 2 wins and he will be the number one contender.

No. Hopefully we are moving into a new heavyweight era, and the division will get deeper. Had Brock started slowly, and gained proper skills, then maybe he would now be moving into contention, and would be a round for a while. For him to go back and re-invent himself as a complete MMA fighter is going to be too big a task for a guy who was once champ. He is going to have to dig really deep to go to a good gym and train with guys who will punch him in the face in sparring 2-3x a week. I don't see him leaving his self-contained training cocoon which revolves around him, to go be just another fighter at a better camp.

Im speaking on behalf of Beserker101...

He said "HELL YES" Bork will be HW champ again.

yeah ^' date=' & John Wayne wore pink-boxers

Bork is 32-33, he got flat-out massacred in the first rd of his last two matches, he has zero stand-up offense & defense, he's literally afraid to be punched in the face & thats a psychological-phobia that can't be fixed without a frontal-lobotomy >

McMahon will offer him a huge number & easy schedule to promote "Calaway vs Lesnar" & they'll do the Undertaker's retirement match .. > that makes a hell of a lot more sense than possibly getting snatched by Mir again & looking like the biggest phoney on the planet .. !

I doubt brock will be any threat to the belt in the near future. If he were to change and adapt to the sport in the right way he has had plenty of time to do so. His wrestling credentials are over rated. His stand up is a joke. He turns away when he gets hit. He runs when he is in trouble, and turtles up. For a man of that size to react the way he has in his last 2 fights is a joke to MMA.

Everyone knows if hes not on top of you he cant do much of anything. If he doesnt come back and show noticable improvement in his stand up he needs to get canned.

I think it depends on how much he's willing to sacrifice in his current life/living situation. I think it's going to take him traveling to other camps and getting no respect during multiple sparing sessions. If he does not accomplish this than I don't see him becoming the top guy again. He needs to add more to his game. He has the physical gifts to beat anyone still in my opinion just lacks the experience, knowledge, and complete skillset to be a champion and a dominant one at that.

I cant believe how many people voted no. Give Brock some time' date=' he still has ALOT of years of fighting left. Once he learns better standup defense, he will be back on top in no time. People write fighters off to quickly. They lose, suddenly they are done....retarded.[/quote']

Brock isnt that young dude and he is no Randy Couture

Will you people ever be able to start a thread not relating to his "Brock-ness"?

its not Brock-ness its Brocktoise

Brock is only 33' date=' and he has stated before that he wants to fight for another 5 years. Thats alot of time for him to improve. I think within 5 he will get his belt back again.[/quote']

I doubt it. Brock will be pushing middle age in a few years, there's that saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks. And even if he could, he probably won't because he seems unwilling to move to an actual camp. Brock is the boss of his gym and pays everyone there and he wants to be near his family, I really don't think Brock will have the will to move to a real camp that isn't filled with yes men. As long as he's paying his coaches checks, he won't get anything but consistant pats on the back and false assurence.

I am by no means a Brock fan, I would say I'm closer to being a Brock hater. But i think there is a very good chance he will be champ again some day. HW's are such big powerful guys that a fight could literally end at any second. The chances any one guy dominates for a long time seems slim to me. Perhaps he will never catch up to Cain and JDS in terms of skills but something tells me his athletic IQ is high enough to get good enough within 2 years time to where his immense size and speed will be enough to get him back the title. I hope I'm wrong but that's my gut feeling.

Tell that to Randy Couture. He first fought when he was like 32, 33. Now look at him, he is one of the most well rounded fighters in the world. He has learned, and become one of the greatest fighters to enter the octagon. Now by no means am I saying Brock will be another Randy, but Brock has stated he is going to fight for another 5 years....Im saying in that time he could learn alot. He already is a terrific wrestler, if he can focus on his standup, he will be champ again.
