Inexperienced Heavyweights in the UFC

It's been rather annoying that the UFC is flooded with inexperienced heavyweights such as Matt Mitrione, Brendan Schaub, Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, Travis Browne, and Cain Velasquez (of course there are cats like Big Nog and Mir who have been around for years, but they're the minority and don't fight too often). These cats win a fight or two and no one really knows how good they are because they can't judge how consistent they are. Strikeforce seems to have the more experienced heavyweight fighters like Fedor, Overeem, Arlovski, Kharitonov, Barnett etc. Why do you think the UFC chooses to bring on so many green fighters in the HW division more so than any other division? Discuss.

define experience... carwin has 13 fights' date=' velasquez has 9. The UFC has a lot of youth because they are the future. strikeforce has young hvwts too, just not in their tournament.[/quote']

this^

just give some of the young guys a bit more time. This division has potential to become pretty deep.

oh man another ufc vs strikeforce hw thread the joy

oh man... another person who joined in January and is already making posts complelty un-related to the thread at hand.

basically cuz its hard to find good talent and skill in guys who are 250-280 Pounds.

GENERAL STATEMENT: usually some big dood like that, is not thinking of becoming flexible, and pushing cardio to the outter peaks day in day out. And be very techincal in there fighting. Get the sense those guys are just big ogre's.

So yeah just hard to find that many big people, who are willing to compete at such a high level of MMA. It will come with time, give it a few years and the division will be crazy.

would be nice if Dana spent the extra buck and brought over Fedor and Overeem to name a few...hed make his money back 100 fold...would spice up the already coma division with the exception of the only obvious fighters that matter,JDS,Brock,Cain,Carwin potential would be endless if Dana did his job right imo
