150dbXfitter
I just watched a replay of the Challenger incident as today is the 25th anniversary. With the recent announcement of the big push to privatize space exploration and to make it a truly international effort as far as military/scientific expeditions go, what are the thoughts of the forum? Personally I see it as a good thing. If (HUGE IF) the nations involved can truly come together and do this and start doing something harmoniously and for the betterment of sapiens as a whole, I think we are closer to permanent population off Earth than we would be if nations just did this on their own. I also see the potential for horrific consequences due security concerns. You will always have those who that think of space travel, technological advance and the movement toward world peace and prosperity as a conspiracy or some apocalyptic forerunner to the destruction of man.
