khazaljj
I mean everything from the chaining of Jacare to the perfection of Roger Gracie to the instant armbar by Nick Diaz. I mean even the back control of Herchel Walker was good to see. Just very good technique which I'd rather take over standup. Last event had incredible stand up finishes, this even had incredible jiu-jitsu finishes, I'm just overall impressed with the cards. Call them mismatches, but it was entertaining. I'm especially impressed with Roger Gracie. Literally every time he takes somebody down, nobody has yet to get up. He's like Royce in UFC 1. His technique is perfect and patient and I really can't wait to see how far he'll go in MMA. The Jacare Lawler fight was great, amazing offensive and defensive jiu jitsu eventually ending with the inevitable Jacare sub. Even though I don't like Nick Diaz he is seriously a unique fighter. "Even though you're a mauy thai specialist, I'm going to stand with you for a whole round even though I can armbar you on the ground in a second". Stupid or Epic? You be the judge. And Herchal Walker's back control was impressive. The man learns quick. And even all the prelims were interesting

Who knows? I do know that he had absoluetly no chance on the ground, and Diaz showed that quickly.

TigerChamp
With all of the leg kicks landed in the diaz/cyborg fight, If rogan and goldy were calling that fight, they surely would have had a brain aneurisym!!

Shuberling
I find it amazing that out of 12 fights, only 2 went to decision!!! We hardly ever see 10 finishes on one event anymore.

GovernmentMule
I thought Nicks JJ was unreal. Cyborg is no joke on the ground and it took Nick all of about 10 seconds to roll and sinch the armbar. Was a great event IMO. Hope to see Souza and Diaz in the UFC someday. True, Cyborg is no joke, but Nick is pretty creative on the ground. It was a good event -- just too short, in my opinion.
The_Rebirth_Of_K22UFC
For as long as I live I will never understand why Cyborg took that fight to the ground He was probably just trying to steal the round since there wasn't long left. Hes a black belt in bjj aswell so he wasn't expecting to get submitted so quickly but Diaz was just too good. That was a great fight. I was kinda dissapointed when it ended though. I didn't want the fight to be over yet. The first round was crazy.
GovernmentMule
A card can never be too short IMO. Too short = early finishes = great event There's some truth to that. But when the main event begins an hour early, I'm a little surprised.
GovernmentMule
Very true. Left me wanting more but also left me time to go to the bar after so I thought it was a great event. Who you got between Diaz and Daley GM? To tell you the truth, I'd rather see Diaz and Miller... But if Diaz and Daley fight, I'd have Diaz. Diaz has a good chin, and a very good ground game. And even all the prelims were interesting[/quote'] they werent mismatches: roger gracie has bad standup, the prangley character knew he was gonna be taken down which is why he wasnt throwing many strikes, he was just waiting for the takedown, both these guys are equal such as prangley has good standup (compared to gracie) and gracie has GREAT BJJ. Lawler almost tko'd jacare at one point but it comes to the same problem, you have the 2nd best BJJ fighter in the world against a striker, its only a matter of time before it hits the ground. Diaz was pretty evenly matched, cyborg was working the kicks, but then noticed they werent doing anything to nick, then nick started throwing those wild cross and jabs and it put the fear in cyborg, the submission was just retarded, it shows cyborg doesnt know the basic armbar

Juzie
Lawler/Jacare was amazing and not a missmatch either, Robbie had the potential to win that fight. Gracie was on his 4th fight and Prangley is a very solid 4th fight. Diaz vs Cyborg should of been a mismatch but Cyborg was actually winning the 1st round until near the end and was winning the 2nd round until the sub... so didn't end up being that bad of a mismatch. JujitsWho
Roger has won the mundials a record 10 times' date=' you cant casually just say there is better out there.. just saying[/quote'] Obviously I think Roger is amazing, but The Mundials is Gi BJJ. There is a huge difference in Gi and Nogi and how they transition to MMA I was never saying that he wasn't great, just that I personally feel that records aren't all there is to saying someone is the best, ya know? If that was the case, Mir would be the best submission guy in the UFC because he has subbed so many people, and we all know that just isn't the case I think Marcelo Garcia is better Roger personally. Yes, I know Roger has beaten him, but Garcia is also WAY smaller AND Roger has never been able to finish him. He also has a losing record against Xande Riberio(My favorite ever BTW) at least in Nogi...I think in Gi as well though Its like I said, his record can mislead you. Yes, he is great, but when he fights guys of the same skill level as himself, he just isn't as dominate as people like to believe. Can he win? Of course. Does he always win just because he's Roger Gracie.....hell no Thats all I was saying

I think it was just that Nick has such an active guard that Cyborg wasn't ready for it. I mean the reason Cyborg took it to the ground was that he was getting tired and he thought he could take a little breather in Nick's guard.... He was wrong. Kristufa
Who would have thought the best BJJ fighter in the world would get a submission? Who would have thought that Jacare would submit a fighter with 4 sub losses in 24 fights? Who would have though a striker would get subbed by a Gracie black belt? Great BJJ indeed
