brettmarkusic
Pettis vs Guida should be a five round fight, correct????

Muay_Thai_Leeds
Don't think so, can't have an interim champ unless the champ is out of action (assuming thats the only thing they could do to keep him champ) and WEC doesn't exist so I would say no, I think Pettis is just the last WEC LW champ
GoToGuy
Video footage on the site shows Petetis being labeled as champ also. Also that he is next in line for the belt after Edgar/Maynard 3. Interesting.
jamamaw
Can't wait for this fight. Should be an intense fight, i got showtime but you can never count clay.

Should be an intense fight' date=' i got showtime but you can never count clay.[/quote'] I got Guida myself. It will only be 5 rounds if the title is on the line, technically he is a champ but I can't see him defending the WEC belt in the UFC, might be wrong tho
Leiting
Not a title fight, not even officially a title eliminator fight. If Pettis wins he will get a shot against the winner of Gray/Frankie, but there is no such guarantee for Guida. The WEC Title is not on the line. This will be, for all intents and purposes, a standard 3 round fight.

If Guida wins they should give him a title shot, I dont like it when one guy is fighting for a title shot and the other isn't

If Guida wins they should give him a title shot' date=' I dont like it when one guy is fighting for a title shot and the other isn't[/quote'] He was only actually champ for one night, then the WEC merged with the UFC. He was the final lightweight champ of the WEC. It's just gonna be a 3 round fight. Also, while I like Clay, I don't feel like he deserves a title shot after this. If he gets one more high profile win, then yeah, he should get a title shot. But right now I don't feel like he's done enough to dignify a shot at the title.
