iNOOB
Myspace was once a billion dollar company. Now, thanks to other social networking sites (primarily Facebook and Twitter), It is worth next to nothing. Screw you Myspace. http://money.msn.com/top-stocks/post.aspx?post=2ac2c9d1-466a-4b33-8ae1-3faca8459f73>1=33002

On a side note. Tom lost a lot of his friends... My space was never as big as facebook though. It's almost ingrained into the culture to the point it can't be removed unless something drastic happens. They will likely have a billlion users by 2012. That's about 1 out of every 6 people on the planet. Insane!

That's about 1 out of every 6 people on the planet. Insane! No doubt Facebook is bigger. However, Myspace and Facebook came out very close to the same time. Myspace instantly became widely popular. It peeked somewhere around 300m profiles or something close. Facebook used to be a College student social network system only. Then it boomed very quickly when it started changing around its layout and everything. *It took me forever to learn how to fluently navigate Facebook lol*. As for 1 billion people by 2012, I wouldn't doubt it. Do you know the current number of users by any chance?

iNOOB
I think it's at like 700 ish million right now. Very impressive. The creator Mark Zuckwhatever is a billionaire now too. All from a website that costs nothing to use. It will be interesting to see where the website goes in the future and if anybody can take its crown for "best social-networking" website... But' date=' who knows what the next "big thing" is.[/quote'] You know why I doubt it? Because society prefers simplicity, yet they also want a wide array of things to do. facebook is simple, but all at the same time, it's complex. Twitter is really simple as well, but I don't really like the way Twitter operates. Myspace was complicated, and generally, all the annoying teeny-boppers hung out on there.
