interbizman
You know, its amazing how fast shileds fell off the edge of the earth after his loss to gsp. im a shields fan...and i was really hoping for better things from him in the ufc...but somehow he ended up fighting at 170 instead of 185...and he was...and is a bit of a let down. At 170 he looks like a gangly, pre-teen, bobble head. He has no strength, no power...and even his technique sux. At 185 no-one can deny he,was way better, bigger and much more powerful...a totally different fighter...with great technique Anyway, i am still a fan of jake...i just think he neds to come back and fight at 185...i honestly think at 185 he would be a serious contender...possibly a champ after Silva is gone. The truth is...he aint going anywhere at 170...all he is doing is destroying a great mma record.

Buttons
Here is Jakes future in the UFC: 1. He will be feed some mediocre fighters at 170, and he will build a 2-3 fight win streak. 2. He will then get another title shot or he will be matched against a top3-5 fighter.. and he will loose.. 3. He will then move to 185 complaining he never belonged at 170... 4. He will get Anderson Silva and he will be TKOed (badly) 5. He will fight Hughes or Maia in a grappling match to show his strength.. He will loose.. 6. He will return to SF or move to Dream or CageRage

The difference would be the 170 division has a lot more wrestlers to counter him then the 185 division, which only has a few high end wrestlers. (Beating a gassed Henderson doesn't mean he's awesome at 185, it means he got lucky Henderson had a back injury)
