Women's MMA in the UFC?

I'm almost positive this thread was probably made before, but now in this time of the sport, I think it is a good assumption. With the recent addition of featherweight, bantamweight, and potientally the flyweight division. Would it make sense to add women's divisions in the UFC?

Granted, one of my favorite fighters is Megumi Fujii, and I personally would love to see her in the spotlight. Plus, I think the women's division is exciting. I think the UFC would gain more respect if it did add women's divisions. Simply because it wouldn't be garnished as a "redneck street fight" anymore. If beautiful women such as Gina Carano and Kyra Gracie signed into the UFC, I think it would be much more classified as a respectful sport more than it already is now.

Thoughts/Opinions/Comments?

Love,

women's MMA is grossly underrated... I've seen many women fights in smaller promotions and they will fight to the death... come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a women's fight I'd call boring...

I would love to see the UFC acquire the women's division from Strikeforce... hopefully this way they can increase the talent pool and find someone that could actually put up a fight against Cyborg... maybe if Coenen wins a few more they can set up the rematch...

Hahahahaha' date=' quite good my friend. +1 for that.

And +1 for the avatar.[/quote']

haha, but in all seriousness no one wants to see that ugly man women Cristiane Santos beat up all the good looking women.

They should have to pass a beauty test before they are allowed to fight :P

.

Just look @ examples like Sarah Kaufman's bodySLAM KNOCK-OUT over Roxanne Modafferi' date=' ...more BRUTAL than alot of the Men's fights! Remember, Women enjoy fighting sometimes, just as much as Men do, ...'nuff said![/color'] :)

.

I remember seeing that fight & it was AWSOME! I really hope they do make it to ufc but it needs more willing & capable fighters to step up in that cage. There lays the problem i think...not enough young international competitors and/or U.S competitors so there maybe a few now but it has to expand more in numbers. I dont know just guessing at this really anyway i hope it happens!

You can't fit the octagon in a kitchen.

It will never work.

thats gold,absolutely hilarious...

better idea though, have a jelly wrestling division, and wrestle for the jellyweight championship

1 this is what alot of fans want to see and will draw even more crowds

2 they can use this instead of an actual intermission break, this will be the intermission break, plenty of entertainment

exactly' date='tough decisions to be made, bar or jelly wrestling hahaha[/quote']

Yeah you would have to stock up to limit trips to the bar...

You dont want to miss any of the action..

Suppose if you had a Lentz, or a GSP on the card,

then you could make trips to the bar, as you wouldnt miss

any action... lol
