My thoughts on Cruz vs Faber II

Right from the getco Cruz showed he can throw many many punches and kicks per round. However, he missed more than he landed. Faber is more percised and doesn't throw much, but lands a good percentage. In my mind, I think Faber should had just did exactly what Cruz did and just throw, throw until he hits the canvas. Faber knocked him down 3 times and he he followed Cruz gameplan, then I think he would have belt. Cruz was the more aggresive, but I think if Faber followed Cruz aggressive style he would have won. But easier said then done. Congrats to Cruz.

The whole reason Faber landed a higher percentage is because he picked his shots, lol. If he would have fought more aggressively, then it's very likely he would have had a lower percentage landed than he did. Also, the 3 knockdowns were due a lot to Cruz's constant foot movement that left him off balance. It's silly to believe that Faber would have done better with a style that is completely foreign to him.

I know he would have a lower percentage, however Faber has a lot more power and a lot better chin. That uppercut by Cruz in the 2nd round was timed great and right on chin and faber didn't flinch. That shows Cruz has terrible power and Faber with his outstanding chin as always. Im not saying Faber would have won, but i think if he would had fought like no tommorow he would had KO'ed Cruz early

What I'm saying is that I really don't think Cruz was ever in much trouble from Faber's power either.

Thank goodness this wasn't a boxing match because if you throw 100 and land 25 you better knock your opponent out or your gonna lose. Faber will get automatic rematch I believe since Bielndez or however you spell his name has lost twice to Cruz and is fighting soon.

What? That's so not true, lol. Many boxers win with a low percentage when they still landed significantly more than their opponents...and I'm quite sure Cruz had a much higher landing percentage than 25%.

not quite, one off balance knockdown, the other 2 he got caught and landed on his backside. I gotta give it ot him though, he was up quickly, but all three weren't slips, just one.

Why is he vulnerable to the knockout? Like I said' date=' he was never in any real trouble.

EDIT: To the guy above me, he was still moving back when he got knocked down.[/quote']

lol is this the first fight you have ever watched of Cruz. He has showed in the past and in this fight he can get knocked out. Faber put him down 3 times. You say all 3 were slips lmfao, but I think Joe Rogan would had said something about that. Really all 3 were slips? Really? Is that why he went 10 feet back from a power punch from Faber. Please just stop it.
