I understand it was close and Cruz edging out the decision 48-47' date=' but Cruz was dropped THREE TIMES! I guess that doesn't count for anything?[/quote']

4th round without a doubt went to Faber and the 1st/2nd round were close

50-45 might of been a bit much but i cant think of one thing faber did that won him a round accept a couple of hooks those drops werent capitilized on and werent finished from Faber, Cruz pushed the pace every round gassed or no. I didnt see one submission attempt from Faber or even a take down. CRUZ even went for at least a few takedowns.

I agree, but was it three knockdowns or two..I thought it was two, but maybe I'm mistaken..?

HUH?

Are you Cecil Peoples illigitimate love child? Or at least ride a special bus to your special school?

That has to be one of the most un-educated, irrelevent, and out-right stupid things I have ever read on this forum. That is one hell of an accomplishment, considering I have had the displeasure of reading my fair share of Raffy's posts.

He got three knockdowns, although one could have been a nresult off balance fall by Cruz. Again, I thought Faber won 1,2, and 4. To me it doesn't matter. just stating what I saw. The 3rd and 5th clearly belonged to Cruz and I could see how the 2nd may have gotten scored as a Cruz round, but 50-45 proves the presence of alcohol in the judges' limo before the fights. Well, that and the Siver decision.

Laid him on his *** twice and sent him crawling away once.

flush shots, but i think the first two were a case where he was off balance(like he is the entire fight) and the shots just pushed him over.

The 4th round was close, Faber actually was moving forward a lot more, landed much more shots, and stunned him. 4th was 100% Fabers. i had it 49-46 with the 2nd being very close but aggression and control taking it for Cruz.

I thought one shot was a case of balance, the one in the fourth was clearly a knockdown.

Cruz landed way more strikes and got a lot more takedowns' date=' he won every round[/quote']

You might want to check the strike card. All that jumping around of cruz got you pretty dizzy about the numbers. He had a slight edge in shots, but NO knockdowns. It wasn't way more. Please, your bias is clearly showing on every post.

I think "10-10" meant nothing to tonight's judges, and they thought they'd be forced to pick a winner for each round... One judge, who must've been under a lot of pressure, probably just picked which guy they liked better or something and put Cruz as the definite winner, even though the fight was a lot closer and did not warrant a 50-45 score for either man...

Cruz won all 5. I'm a Faber fan. You guys are biased.

I gave Faber round 1. Round 4 close enough to go either way. I would have been fine with Cruz having every round but the first, but in any case after the Siver win I wouldn't have been surprised if they gave the whole fight to Faber. I figured this is how the fight would play out. As a Faber fan as well I was hoping I was wrong but the way I saw it is when they fought the first time Faber was pretty far ahead in his career and prob hasn't gotten a whole lot better sense then. Cruz on the other hand has been getting better and better sense that fight. Knew it would be close, but was ready for that outcome. Pretty much every fight (aside from Tito/Bader of coarse) panned out the way I thought it would except figured Condit/Kim would be a close decision.

Yeah I had Cruz winning round one. He landed more shots. Faber landed the cleaner shots, but not more. Faber/Cruz was the only fight I picked wrong.

I'm neither. I like both guys, and I can't wait to see the rematch because we all know judges won't be a factor. after watching it the second time, Round 1 could have been an easy 10-10 giving Cruz the win by draw or majority draw.

you have to beat the champ to be champ and faber didnt do that' date=' you all know the close ones are going to go to the champ usually, not always but usually. but thank goodness faber didnt win[/quote']

Exactly, after watching it again, Faber didn't do enough. Everytime(3 by the way) he knocked him down, he backed off and allowed him to recover. As far as who wins, I don't care. I just like watching fights that look like a bunch of Jr. High kids are squaring off.
