Buzz_Kill
My advice is to try watch fights and pick the winners on that, not on UFC Countdown shows and interviews. Thanks. Your buddy, Buzz_Kill.
DCDW
Faber fought about 100x better against Cruz then he did against Aldo. Now I know you'll say it's Aldo, but I'm not talking about what Aldo did in that fight but more so the mistakes on Fabers part in that fight. Fabers biggest mistakes were he was throwing too many punches from too far away and it allowed Aldo to figure out Fabers range quite easily, we know how that turned out. Fabers fight against Cruz, we see Faber is much more conservative with throwing punches and for the most part threw them when they would/could count. Still Faber needed to be much more aggressive and step into his strikes more. For a guy with a small reach he sure liked to try to play the counter striker strategy a bit too much. I would've liked to see him pressure more take downs and work him against the cage with more striking while breaking from the clinch on the cage. Still for such an awkward stand up in Cruz's case, Faber did alright by not getting dominated by a really good offense on Cruz's part.
LMFAO
Hype train victim? How about his skills and the fact he gave Cruz a very close fight and dropped him thrice times. Sounds more like you're on Cruz' "hype train".
IanThePhoenix
While Faber was able to give Cruz a run for his money (to an extent), the fight was close, a couple rounds could've gone either way or be 10-10. Still, Cruz showed that his technical striking is superior to Urijah's, and ultimately that got him the nod.
RampageCraze
I chose Faber because I like him. I thought he could win. He didn't oh well. Cruz had him beat all 5 rounds in my eyes. I was just mad he didn't swarm when he dropped Cruz the last time. If that was me and I knew I was down I would have ran at him like a freight train. I_MC
Faber was his toughest defense yet. I think Cruz was nervous, he was taking deep breaths in the second round.

Tiberius
I don't like these threads. If any of us could pick the outcome of sporting events all the time we would just bet all the time and get super rich from it. Threads/posts rubbing it in to people who picked a fight wrong after the fight is poor form imo. Your number has been recorded.
Gasman8402
faber beat him the first time so ur wrong on this one That was a very long time ago I like Faber, but I have to agree with OP. If you have been watching Faber and you have been watching Cruz sense their last fight u wouldn't be basing it on what happened the first time. That's like a newbie going to Matt Serras Wiki page seeing he KO'd GSP in the first and so he picks him for the second. That would be like someone who picked Tito tonight. Yea he won, but if you picked him you don't know much about MMA. It sounds dumb because he won I know, but because your right about something like that doesn't show you know MMA it shows the opposite. Yes he caught Bader, but you don't pick a guy when the other guy is far superior in striking, power, and grappling which even after losing tonight he is.
