Ya, Lyoto has much better things to do and much better opponents to fight. Machida will likely win his next fight before getting another title shot if things go well for him.

Weren't people saying this about Bader before the fight?

The odds are stacked in Machida's favour' date=' but still don't completely count out Ortiz...[/quote']

Machida will KO Ortiz this time :D

I doubt Tito would take the fight. He avoids fighters who he knows would beat him.

who else there is to fight according to Tito he wants to be champ again whoelse better to fight than Lyoto

Machida has no one to fight plus Lyoto will crane kick Tito into oblivion sending Tito to retirement

Tito has to start from the bottom again.

I mean a first win in nearly 6 years hardly earns

you the right to fight a top 5 guy in the division...

i see this rematch happening especially since Machida has no one to fight and Tito pulls of miracle. hopefully this rematch happens and Lyoto will crane kick Tito into retirement.

I was just going to post a thread about the same thing!

Just have a feeling that with the current matches booked in the LHW division, with both being healthy, plus the fact i think the UFC want to give Tito hard opponents to 'force' him out, Machida would make sense.

As i like both fighters though i dont wanna see this! If Machida loses then he can forget about a title shot in the near future, if Tito loses its goodbye.

Would be a hard fight to predict i think after their first one

Hey, i am a big big fan on Machida's !!!

But, if Tito can repeat his last performance against him, it will be tough.

The big difference now is that Tito even admits that he has probably lost half-a-second to a second in speed in shooting and striking, whereas Lyoto has improved his speed and striking, so the fight could go completely differently

Not this again' date=' Im sure same thing is gonna happen..

I wanna see Tito vs Shogun or Rampage or Thiago Silva someone he hasnt fought yet[/quote']

Agree ^^^^

Was at the last one at MGM and was very disappointed in Machida running the whole fight.

Wish Tito did sub him.

If it does happen hopefully Machida's evolution will make for a better fight.

Like Chuck Liddell twice, he ducked him the first time but he grew up and matured. Tito also went after Machida when he was on the rise. I'm starting to notice people who have retards for avatars are retards as well. Tito isn't my fav but don't count him out of anything he's been fighting the BEST in the world and losing mostly by decision. He also came closer to finishing Machida then Machida came to Tito.

Or Machida could get caught in a triangle by a sub par bjj guard. Just sayin...

Tito vs. Lyoto 2 does make sense for both of them at this point in their careers. I personally would like to see this rematch. The first fight was a little controversial and if Tito was having the health issues he was claiming to have and Lyoto barely squeezed out a decision then maybe a healthy Tito would have that fight. Even though I still favor Lyoto in the rematch.

i have wanted to se Tito vs Rampage for a long time.. would be an epic battle and both in peak condition could be hard to pick.. I dont see rampage getting gnp'd by anyone, but tito has a good chin... shame their ranks will never likely cross..

Tito vs Thiago Silva though....

is Silva 'active' again yet? Thought he was suspended for PED's?

As for people suggesting wanting to see tito against Shogun, Forrest, Rampage etc etc, note the thread is about Tito/Machida because they are both currently fit and un-booked, whereas the other guys are all booked to fight.

With regards to peeps still giving Tito a hard time too, his losses have all been against top contenders and all have been close decision losses. Personality aside, Tito is still a potential force in the LHW division.

He needs to get his next fight quick whilst he is fit and in a good positive state of mind though and Machida makes sense if he wants a run at the belt. A win against Silva would still leave him behind the pack - Jones, Page, Machida, Shogun and Griffin

The UFC won't feed Tito to a top 5 guy in the divison. They will give him guys like Bader where he has a 50 50 chance to win not a complete 0 chance to win against a guy like Machida. Sorry Tito fans but your boy will only fight middle of the pack guys until he has to fight a top contender and get smashed then retire.
