CorporalClegg
I could see how it could be scored 49-46 or 48-47. Couple of close rounds. Edit Cruz that is... I just noticed you said you took Faber.
BESERKER
i had it 48-47 Faber. how about you? 3 rds to 2rds/ Cruz, he was the busier fighter by about 20%, & Faber spent too much time head-hunting w/ the counter -

BrocksBigBro
48-47 Cruz. Cruz got rounds 1' date='3 and 5 Faber got rounds 2 and 4[/quote'] I agree this is the most likely scoring. The issue many have is that Faber rocked Cruz 4 times , 3 of those putting Cruz on the floor. Rogan screaming "takedown" every time there was the most fleeting contact with the ground didn't help. Someone should explain to him it's not the same as "touchdown". Any judge who scored these ahead of Cruz hitting the canvas from a strike is crazy as Faber was never threatened once whilst Cruz could easily have been finished from the knockdowns. I'm happy just to say it was a close fight and I can't complain about the decision, although the scoring was again stupid (50-45 WTF!). Cruz outscored with strikes whilst Faber looked most likely to finish with his power. A rematch is a must.
shinsplint
48-47 Cruz... Rounds 1,3,5 to Cruz... & rounds 2 & 4 to bum chin... & still LMFAO @ the judge that gave every round to Cruz...

VelloZa
cruz actually said that he only got hurt by a punch once. Thats why he kept jumping back up being fine. He just fell off balance because of not having a solid base

Psycho_MMA
50-45 Cruz Faber got 1 or 2 good hits each round thats not enough to win a round when for 5 minutes your being hit with nice combos and your getting taken down.

georgelebrun
It depends entirely on what the judges are looking for, Cruz essentially controlled the pace of the fight, with Faber occasionally intervening with a big strike, some of the takedowns at the end of the fight would of tipped the balance in Cruz's favour. I had it 49-46 Cruz, Faber winning round 2. Cruz dictated the pace of the fight, I was very impressed with his performance. I am very confused as to why Faber didn't shoot more, Cruz was clearly the superior (though probs not most powerful) striker. My prediction would of been Faber by submission

MarcusAureliusCommodus
I scored this fight a 48-47 for Dominick Cruz. Urijah Faber fought well, But to become the Champion you have to clearly beat the Champion. The only way he could have won that belt was too get a finish. Rowdy_Raffield
I thought it was a great fight. Both Fighters came in and went after it. I was wondering though how much knockdowns count for. In Boxing they count for alot. Faber scored some good knockdowns and i thought that they helped him win a few rounds, at least the first 3 IMO. TheLifeGuard
i gave it 48-47 to Faber cause i think (if i remember right) Cruz only got 2 takedowns where Faber was on the ground for more then 3 seconds.....Faber being able to spring up imidiatly was better then the actual takedowns to be Cruz also looked to be alittle more tired (even though he wasnt that tired) and Faber did rock Cruz 4 times he also conected almost everytime they broke away from the clinch with a big punch.....and at the end even though cruz landed more punches you could definitly tell Faber did more damage...just my thoughts

Shuberling
Round 1 - Faber (Could have gone either way for me) Round 2 - Cruz Round 3 - Cruz (Could have gone either way for me) Round 4 - Faber Round 5 - Cruz Cruz wins - 48 - 47 I could probaly argue that Faber won the fight tbh, but I still saw it as Cruz won the fight. Very close fight to call, congratulations to Cruz you little bizatch! Ah well, Demtrious 'Mighty Rat' Johnson will beat him for the title through continous takedowns unfortunately.
