see below:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_40

UFC 40 was a pivotal event for Zuffa. The anticipation for Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz resulted in a buyrate that was nearly 4 times larger than the buyrates of the previous Zuffa UFC shows. After initially losing a lot of money, UFC 40 showed Zuffa that it was possible to make money with the UFC. This was important for the sport of mixed martial arts because had UFC 40 been a failure, the possibility existed that Zuffa would have eventually sold the UFC and cut their losses; Zuffa was largely responsible for bringing mixed martial arts to the North American mainstream audience in the coming years, and without them, there was a good possibility the sport of mixed martial arts would have remained underground outside of Japan.[2][3] UFC 40 was a near sellout of 13,022 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for a gate of $1,540,000, a UFC record at that point.

Tito's biggest win was against an old fighter past his prime. Even though Shamrock is a **** Tito made his name dissing a vet. Tito is small time like his ***** misses. They are just pawns that people with ability use to make money. If there was no Tito the UFC would still be here. Tito will get bashed into retirement very soon and he will only ever be remembered by people who followed the sport during this period as a punk and a joke.

The champ finished Bader as well..

Not nearly as impressive though, he had to come in with a complex gameplan of spinning elbows and jumping kicks mixed in with takedowns and various different submissions.

Tito Ortiz just came in and knocked Bader on his *** and then made him tap

Excuses like what? Guess the majority is just playing with people like Psycho_MMA since he/they're hyping Ortiz like he's the LHW champ already.

Excuses like this:

Jones killed something inside of Bader' date=' pretty much anyone could have beaten him, so there you have the reason.[/quote']

Yeah well there are hardcore haters and fanboys. I'm neither. Tito won that fight, sure. But to say he finished Bader in the first round so he would beat Jones is ridiculous. Tito never sucked but he's far from being the LHW champ.
