WalkLikeAWarrior707
Just re-watched the fight and Siver definitely won. I am not a Siver fan by any means but he did win rounds 1 & 3. It was the right decision
Richnhard
As soon as the fight was over I thought Siver had won but people would complain if they actually declared him the winner because of round two. I was right about everything lol
Buttons
The main issue here is the scoring.... Casual fans does not follow the same "rules" as the judges follow... Therefore we often get situations where people does not respond well to decisions... Also: 1. Rogan and Goldberg are VERY good at letting there favorite fighter getting a lot of praise, and therefore trick people to agree with their points of view.. 2. The crowds in the US has a tendency to boo every non-us fighter that wins, and especially if it is close decisions... And even if people are not aware of it, the background booking actually is affecting how TV viewers remembers the fight... To test this do the following: 1. Find a mate that knows about mma (casual fan or above) 2. Make him see a lot of fights he has never seen before without any audio. - These fights should be a decision fights where there was a lot of controversy.. 3. Be amazed on how many times your mate will agree with the judges... Also: Accept that some judges often makes mistakes and score fights without any contact with reality... It is just not possible to have a scoring system and avoid this.
Yesterdays_Hero
Yes, Siver won. Wiman had a good round but it wasn't 10-8 good so he doesn't deserve to win... Also everyone who says Wiman wins says it's because of the takedowns he scored, but they forget about all the takedowns Siver stopped...
BESERKER
... watched it 4 times now & I can't give that fight to Siver, its still an on-going controversy through-out the internet & the live crowd @ 132 was obviously not happy -
JonesyUK
Siver landed more punches (only a handful from memory) but Wiman landed 4 takedowns to 1 plus 2 sub attempts. On paper, Wiman won. I thought Wiman won also, although i am a Siver fan

Yesterdays_Hero
Siver blocked 11/16 takedowns... 5 being in the last round that was considered close. So if you score takedowns highly, defence shoudl be equally scored.

Seems funny that Fightometrics do not report those stats???
Inamorta
I gave it to Wiman because he seem to be the one bringing the fight. He was moving forward while Siver was countering. That being said it was very close and you can't really say it was a bad judging.
nyran125
i couldnt agree with you more. I dont know what all the contreversy is about , you should watch the fight again. DONT GIVE points for holding a guys leg but you DO get points punching the guy thats holding your leg up against the cage. Siver non stop was working in the clinch on the cage. Most of the time Siver ended up on top of Wyman after a Wyman attempt in the 1st and 3rd rounds. How many times did you see Siver ontop after a Wyman attempt ACCEPT in the 2nd round?. Pretty much everytime Siver was hanging over Wymans back. Siver EASY 1st round win , So wyman was ontop in the last 10 seconds big deal. Siver punched more in the clinch and attacked more in the clinch in the first round, while Wyman just hung onto his leg. 2nd round :> Wyman destroyed Siver in round 2. 3rd round :> Although close, Siver still was doing so much more than Wyman, when Wyman was holding onto his leg. The end of the round, Siver actually was ontop of Wyman, like Wyman was ontop in the first round. Siver edged that last round just on being active and throwing more. Siver wins . All you could hear is Rogan talking about Wyman and saying "Siver needs to pull out something special"?!?!!? i was like , you kidding? Siver won the first round, lost the second and won the 3rd. A victory for Siver. The only controversy was Rogan constantly giving rounds to Wyman. Even though Wyman only won the second round.

Joe was playing favorites or something because he thought Wiman was destroying Siver., I think that's why a lot of people think Wiman won.

I had a huge group over for the fights, I called Siver as winner before they announced and got heckled as all hell by everybody... Bruce Buffer calls it, and they look and me grinning my butt off. Good recap on the fight by the way. (PS. I was jumping and laughing when TITO WON !!! GO TITO !!! )
wordack
Siver also got a take down in the first. I think scoreing fights on take downs is bull **** anyhow , some fighters get took down and they are leathal on there backs.

MuayThaiKickboxer
People think Wiman (who put on a great performance) should have won, because Siver was bleeding, and Wiman wasn't. Not taking anything away from Wiman, it was a very close fight. Coulda gone either way.
Rebellion
2nd round :> Wyman destroyed Siver in round 2. When you can sum up a 5 minute round of fighting in 6 simple words like that. How could it possibly not be considered a 10-8 round? There aren't enough 10-8 rounds in MMA. It's simply because UFC want a winner and a loser, and they know that 10-8 rounds make for draws. It's ridiculous that only 1 out of 3 judges scored Round 1 of Winner Vs Njukowami (sp? lol) a 10-8 round... the ref was poised to stop the fight for the final minute and a half of the round. CPK
Blood does not make a 10-8 round. Once they wiped his face it looked like a scratch. Siver won rounds 1 and 3. I called it as soon as the fight ended.
NickTF
While an argument can certainly be made for the resulting decision Siver should fricken learn to keep his opponent from posturing up that was painful to watch ha! Stall the guy out, get stood up, striking clinic........ WIN
