towhatend
Screw the rematch with Lentz, this is where it's at. Hello submission and/or fight of the night bonus. A lightweight bout between Joe Lauzon and Charles Oliveira are in the works for UFC 138 in San Jose, California according to tatame.com. Both men competed at UFC on Versus 4, Lauzon thoroughly dominated Curt Warburton en route to a kimura submission win in the first round. Contrastingly, Oliveira's initial rear naked choke victory over Nik Lentz was overturned into a no contest by the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission after it was revealed that Oliveira landed an illegal knee to Lentz. Lauzon (20-6) has been 3-2 in his last five fights, winning either Fight of the Night or Submission of the Night awards for each of those bouts. Oliveria (14-1 (1 no contest)) is one of the youngest talent on the UFC's roster, just 21 years old. The Brazilian arrived to the UFC to go 2-0 with the promotion, defeating Darren Elkins and Efrain Escudero. Oliveria would taste defeat at the hands of Jim Miller, losing via kneebar in the first round of UFC 124. Currently, the UFC have yet to deem this bout official. Oliveria's camp was the source of providing the match up with Lauzon after a rematch with Lentz became doubtful; Lentz requires surgery and will be out of action in the near future. UFC 138 on November 19 in San Jose, California will be headlined by a heavyweight title bout between Cain Velasquez defending against Junior dos Santos. http://www.fiveknuckles.com/mma-news/Joe-Lauzon-vs-Charles-Oliveira-possible-for-UFC-138.html
