Andy De-Vent has been training his heart out ahead of his upcoming fight with the Wolfslair's Gavin Sterritt at Fight Ikon 8, and reckons he will stop his opponent in the second round, whether that be by KO or submission.

His thoughts on Sterritt:

"I think he's still the European Muay Thai Champion; he might have been beat, I'm not too sure," stated De-Vent upon being asked what he knew about his opponent. "I know he's fought for that anyway. I also know he's beat Leigh Cohoon who's beat me twice. He's a good fighter who trains at the Wolfsliar with Rampage, Cheick Kongo and Bisping. He's been to America and I know he's got a heart the size of a lion. It's going to be a war.

"In my eyes, Gavin's going to be the toughest fighter I've come accross ever; technically, physically and mentally. He is a good, sharp fighter. I'm taking nothing away from Leigh Cohoon here who's also a smart fighter himself, but Gavin covered up, took the punishment [off Cohoon] and did what he had to do in the second round.

"I've seen Gavin quite a few times with his Thai fights as well as in the cage, and he is good. I've never seen him on the floor; I don't know what his ground game's like but it must be good to be at the Wolfslair. I'm going to get in there and do my best to beat him. He said in his interview he thinks he's going to encounter a De-Vent with a point to prove, and he's damn right on that."
