Captain_Obv
Fight of the year IMO is between Barry vs Kongo, Frankie vs Gray II and Aldo vs Hominick. Voted Aldo and Hominick
ultimatefightingchamp
Clearly GSP vs Shields IMO, Kongo vs Barry
BESERKER
from the fights listed I would vote Aldo vs Hominick, other = Kingsbury vs Maldonato
Epilogue1406051983
as a GSP fan, I have to ask why GSP vs Shields is an option... anyways... my pick is Edgar vs Maynard II... funny how the first main event of the year, one that everyone expected the worst from, turned out to be the best one so far... it'll be hard to top... honorable mention goes to Beltran vs Rosa... that was a heavyweight version of Sanchez vs Guida...
Junglebird
I'll say Aldo/Hominick
DannyMMA
Cruz vs Faber!! maybe my memory is too short but I loved that fight plus it was the first Bantamweight championship fight.
disty_pal
the two fights of the year IMO are frankie and gray, and diaz and daley (surprised no one has mentioned this one yet). i picked frankie and gray. one of the best fights ive ever seen. Vincamous
I'm torn between Frankie vs Maynard 2 and Cruz vs Faber 2. Both of those were great. I hate to say it because it's cliche but those fights really were MMA at its finest.
Gu31232
Oliveira vs Lentz was amazing, but it's a shame that the illegal knee left the crowd booing at the end of the fight. They both put on a show. KO of the year is probably Machida vs Couture, or Kongo vs Barry Sub of the year is undoubtedly the Korean Zombie. Junglebird
Typically Fights of the Year should be multiple round Wars. Thats not saying Kongo and Barry wasnt an absolutely amazing outcome
ultimatefightingchamp
Typically Fights of the Year should be multiple round Wars. Thats not saying Kongo and Barry wasnt an absolutely amazing outcome It depends, I think Kongo vs Barry was the best show so far. Cruz vs Faber was overrated. Maynard vs Edgar was good, but the draw messed it up

BillBurgess
Penn/Fitch But I hope it doesn't end up being the best. I can understand the knockout of the year but not so much fight of the year. Exactly...same with Diaz vs Daley , 5 minutes doesn't warrant a war. In my opinion it goes. 1. Kampmann vs Sanchez 2. Maynard vs Edgar 2 3. Aldo vs Hominick These can be interchanged however , I don't see any other contending fights as of now , these were complete wars with immense display of technique and heart. CorporalClegg
Edgar/Maynard 2, Aldo/Hominick and Sanchez/Kampmann were the best fights but Martin Kampmann getting robbed pissed me off. 14 stuffed takedowns and three or four times as many strikes landed and you lose? Diego looked like he had been run over by a truck that decided to back up over him and do it a few more times.
