The name of this game is to find a stupid law anywhere around the world and post it here!

Let me start

One for North Carolina:

If a man and a woman who aren?t married go to a hotel/motel and register themselves as married then, according to state law, they are legally married.

Kansas Topeka:

No one may sing the alphabet on the streets at night.

Virginia:

It is illegal to snooze on a train.

Whistling underwater is prohibited.

It is legal for a male to have sex with an animal as long as it does not exceed 40 lbs.

Unmarried couple who live together and ?lewdly associate? with one another may face up to a year in prison.

Anyone wish to post a stupid law?

... this law (upheld as a constitutional right) would allow Casey Anthony to confess to the murder

of her 2 year old child today & not face prosecution -

Double Jeopardy : is a procedural defense that forbids a defendant from being tried again on the same, or similar charges following a legitimate acquittal or conviction. At common law a defendant may plead autrefois acquit or autrefois convict (a peremptory plea), meaning the defendant has been acquitted or convicted of the same offense.

If this issue is raised, evidence will be placed before the court, which will normally rule as a preliminary matter whether the plea is substantiated, and if it so finds, the projected trial will be prevented from proceeding. In many countries the guarantee against being "twice put in jeopardy" is a constitutional right; these include Canada, India, Mexico, and the United States. In other countries, the protection is afforded by statute

Stupid Oklahoma laws (probably the dumbest I ever saw)

It is illegal for the owner of a bar to allow anyone inside to pretend to have sex with a buffalo.

Dogs must have a permit signed by the mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on private property.

It is illegal to have the hind legs of farm animals in your boots.

Females are forbidden from doing their own hair without being licensed by the state.

People who make ?ugly faces? at dogs may be fined and/or jailed.

Anyone arrested for soliciting a hooker must have their name and picture shown on television.

It is illegal to wear your boots to bed.

It is illegal to have sex before you are married.
