World of Warcraft... 6 year addiction running strong. My ex-wife sited it as a "problem" in our divorce proceedings. To which I sited her being an intolerable ****** as to the reason I was addicted to World of Warcraft.

Not one bit. Getting divorced was probably the best decision I ever made. WoW didn't destroy that marriage. The people involved did. Moral of the story is learn from your mistakes and if you've committed yourself to a relationship, it takes daily maintenance from both sides in order to work.

i was addicted to supermario brothers 3 on the nes for years until the xbox came out with halo 1, and i was addicted to that for years, I became addicted to various games, eventually finding modern warfare 2, and was stuck playing that for months, now i'm not really addicted to any games, but right now i play the zombies mode on black ops, and marvel vs capcom 3.

Well said.

I played Wow for close to 3 years. Worked odd hours and it filled in the time when people slept or I was travelling out of town for weeks on end.

Still made time for her, most of the time she wanted, but if it wasn't 100% I was the devil.

I stopped playing after we separated, but the game is not what destroyed us, Me and her were, and that ****** bag she ended sleeping with.

Other than that, FF7 took many many hours and days of my life.

funny how I think for the first time in my life I'm not completely addicted to video games... right now I casually play the Bethesda and Rockstar games, along with Shogun II...

when I was a kid I was addicted to Squaresoft RPG games... in my late teens/early 20's I was addicted to Counter Strike and Diablo 2... Diablo 2 was probably the game I was the most addicted to... joined clans, had level 90+ characters, the works, but I gave it all up to get my life sorted and go to college... after college, I got some work but still played a variety of PS2/PS3/PC games... never really got addicted to one in particular but was kind of a slave to the lifestyle because it was what I knew...

after a while it just got really boring and only a few games would come out that I liked, so other than a few games here and there, I just fell out of it... now I take kickboxing classes instead... in a weird way, I wanted to take the mentality of "level grinding" into my real life :P

I was addicted to the 1st Saints Row online and MW2 online....

Best times of my life! A high school kid addicted to video games!

Ditto for MW2. That's all I did for a year at Uni, played MW2 and got drunk. Although I've spent more time online on MW1.

Red Bull was my best friend.

Sounds very similar to my situation. At first I was bitter that "some batch was messing around with someone" while I was slaving away at work making money for her **** to spend. But then I realized, she will always be that person. She cannot escape it. It's who she is.

This gives me great comfort because I know that no matter what, she cannot sustain herself financially and everything will collapse around her. It's pretty much already happening. Even though my children are suffering in the interim, having to live with her. I am confident that, given time and patience, I will have given her just enough rope to hang herself in court. ;)

Yer, I was ****ing so addicted to WoW. I went 5 solid days at one point playing for atleast 10 hours a day minimum, not good! I got a level 85 mage on it. Lucky enough I got really bored after being 85 for a few months, there's nothing to do anymore for me except raids. When I do pay for a month, I probaly go on the mage about 5 times over the whole month, now I got a rogue which I'm levelling and doing PvP with, much more fun but luckily I'm not addicted at the moment.

I may get addicted again, but I hope not, that game is like the Cyber Devil! :(

LOL at women and video game addiction. Always have to find some absurd reason for a failed relationship, refusing to understand how ****ing annoying and insufferable they can be at times.

Europa Universalis 3 was a hell of a game, it was very easy to get carried away. Playing as Castille and conquering Europe was something else, kept thinking to myself "I'll just conquer this province and head to bed..", five hours later, France was under control of the Spanish crown.

It's been awhile since a game has had that effect on me, hopefully Old Republic will not dissapoint.

Judging by the way you call me limey you have no idea where Wales is, and thus if you were from England you would know that the English are called limeys and not the Welsh. And by that I guess you dont even live in the Uk. Or at least on holiday here. Who knows.

but when you really want a fight, the offer is there. But dont be under any illusions it will be in a ring or have any rules.
